Saturday Snowy Winter Wine Tasting (Ray and Teresa's): Slow o'd for a couple hours, drank a small glass over an hour. There is some menthol on the nose that mingles with some greenness in the wine and makes it challenging. The wine rounds out over time and gains body. The tannins are well-integrated and silky. Nose of bramble fruits. Notes of black cherry, cassis, oak & blackberry. Seems a bit more than the 14.1% listing for alcohol, but not over the top. Robust tannins still in evidence. Drinking well now. (1426 views) | ||||
