Tasted by 3marinerfans on 5/4/2015 flawed bottle: Did not open this bottle...but it can't be good in 2015. (2477 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 8/30/2013 & rated 87 points: very pale salmon color. drank a glass with dinner over consecutive nights. the nose still has some nice minerality followed by citrus and strawberry notes. the palate is mostly citrus and minerality with the acidl being a little bit prominent. there is still some fruit here but it is past its peak. (3215 views)
Tasted by JBVino on 5/18/2013: still hangin around...enjoyable rose with solid structure and personality (2946 views)
Tasted by tbone on 2/12/2013: Not bad after it was brought to fridge temp. Light strawberry flavors and a little steely. (3158 views)
Tasted by Easter Everywhere on 2/1/2013: good, simple (1357 views)
Tasted by btock on 11/25/2012 & rated 88 points: Found a bottle of this in the wrong corner of the cellar, thought it previously consumed! So while unexpectedly aged, this showed well. Served with a butternut squash, quinoa and mushroom dish. There was a tough of maple in the dish and the more firm cinsault did well against that. Nice acidity to the wine, lighter salmon color. An engaging rose. Likely better earlier as the fruit definitely wanted to lead here. (3061 views)
Tasted by Easter Everywhere on 9/1/2012: Great (2001 views)
Tasted by btock on 7/23/2012 & rated 87 points: straight up, lighter minerality and higher toned strawberry acidity. crowd pleaser. (2179 views)
Tasted by Brian Love on 6/19/2012 & rated 88 points: Very good rose - lacking a touch of acidity and pep to take it up a notch. But still very good. Cinsault seems to give it a nice edge. (2090 views)
Tasted by Gabe on 6/10/2012 & rated 90 points: I'm a fan, great for a hot day. Incredible QPR, definitely should have bought more. I will remember next time the email comes on this one. Smooth, bright and crisp come to mind among other things. Good acidity as well. (2035 views)
Tasted by eoinhharkins on 6/8/2012 & rated 88 points: strawberry, stream rock flowers on the nose - similar palate with a nice crisp, mild acidity mouth feel simple enjoyable rose for the summer (1983 views)
Tasted by dfeiner on 6/2/2012 & rated 89 points: This is still bright and spicy. Dry with good flavors and a slight tongue-tingling component. (1872 views)
Tasted by JBVino on 6/2/2012: Still in a good spot... Bright, crisp w good acidity and energy (1896 views)
Tasted by tastark on 5/14/2012 & rated 92 points: My favorite rose. (1977 views)
Tasted by frwilly on 5/2/2012 & rated 88 points: All around excellent bottle of Rosé. Very crisp and yet the mouth feel was more viscous than others. Nose of strawberry, some floral components, and a hint of spice. Palate much the same...having a hard time placing the fruit, perhaps more apricot than strawberry. Definitely great minerality, refreshing wet stone rounding out the medley. Very pleasant. (1883 views)
Tasted by Easter Everywhere on 4/1/2012 & rated 84 points: Good, simple (1228 views)
Tasted by wormfarmer on 3/28/2012 & rated 89 points: Everything you want in a hot-day rosé -- or a rainy-day rosé, for that matter, as was the case with us this week. Fantastic on Day 1, it actually lasted very well into Day 3, when we revisited it. Gorgeous color, good minerality, stone-fruit and lemon zest notes. (2034 views)
Tasted by mmcdds on 9/3/2011 & rated 86 points: Very pale orangey salmon color. Nice, simple, refreshing rose. Perhaps just abit off dry. (2595 views)
Tasted by latorsher on 8/17/2011 & rated 89 points: minerals and apricots. not complex. good value (2414 views)
Tasted by PinotAge-Weetree on 8/9/2011 & rated 87 points: Pretty pink salmon color. Light on it's feet with bracingly good acidity. Some mild yeasty flavors. Bright, clean and easy drinking. There is some minerality in here which is one of the hallmarks of a Garagiste wine. Not much complexity, but a real nice summer swilling socializing sum. (2468 views)
Tasted by BYOB on 7/31/2011 & rated 89 points: Enjoyed on a hot summer evening, great recommendation from Binnys. (2638 views)
Tasted by joefel on 7/10/2011 & rated 88 points: Same notes as before - everyone enjoyed it. (2709 views)
Tasted by hkoben on 7/8/2011 & rated 89 points: As so many of the other reviews say - I should have ordered more. Well priced and perfect for summer. I found a group of chanterelles in the woods, sautéed them and braised some radishes, and opened this pale, pale Rose. Wow, summer heaven. Acidic, with an underlying sweetness. Balanced and a little complex. (2558 views)
Tasted by Ron Felthoven on 7/7/2011 & rated 88 points: Complex and well balanced with a bit of a bready/yeasty thing going on in the background. Full bodied but not too heavy or dark. A real treat. (2634 views)
Tasted by davidspieker on 6/8/2011 & rated 89 points: Pale apricot color. Very nice. Should have bought a case. (2807 views)

Garagiste (1/11/2011)
(MARGUI Rosé () 2010 Dear Friends, Somewhere along a one-lane road, in a corner of the Varois where light appears to bend in a far different way than anywhere else in Provence, the wanderer will eventually come across a place of spiritual renewal. That place is Chateau Margui. Traversing Philippe and Marie-Christine’s property at Margui (one of the most inspired spots in winedom) gives the explorer a sense of antiquity and tranquility at every turn. Ancient aqueducts line the whitestone roads, bringing much needed water to vegetables and vines and a very old cistern serves as their modern “swimming pool” (with frigid, spring-fed water to match – surrounded by 18th century two-foot thick stone walls as the enclosure). If you’ve ever imagined what swimming in the Trevi Fountain would feel like, it’s close to the dream-like state you are transported to at Chateau Margui – a place that time and space have thoughtfully forgotten. For long-term email list members, you can probably skip the rest of the verbiage and go straight to the Niki link at the bottom – this is one of the only wines we offer every year that transcends customer background, experience, palate preference or other – every pocket and corner of the Email List seems to enjoy the coddled “antique label” Rosé from Margui and 2010 looks to be the finest vintage of this BIO/organic Provençal treat to date. From mostly Cinsault with a portion of Grenache, rarely have acidity, presence and unctuous texture so admirably coalesced... From Philippe (who is not one to toot his own horn – in fact, I cannot recall a time when he’s ever said his wine was good, let alone gorgeous): “The 2010 Rosé promises to be gorgeous. I think its our best Rosé from the beginning. It has freshness, superlative fruit and great concentration”. If Philippe is calling this their best Rosé, I believe we are in for something memorable... Due to limited quantities and tiny allocations, that’s all I will say (for previous comments and TN’s on Margui, please check community notes – for more information on this beautiful piece of terroir in southern France - http://www.chateaumargui.com ) ONE SHIPMENT ONLY – bottled expressly for you (next week) from the “pick of the litter” barrels – in other words, this is not something you’re going to find anywhere else (this is their best possible example - a particular top-end selection from Phillipe and Marie-Christine straight to your cellar – provenance indeed). 2010 Château Margüi Côteaux Varois Rosé - (compare at + but not with this level of provenance) FIRST COME FIRST SERVED up to 24/person until we run out To order: niki@garagistewine.com This parcel is set to depart the cave – it will arrive in early March (please check OARS for local pick up after March 1st). It will ship during the Spring shipping season in plenty of time for summer and fall enjoyment (keep in mind, this rather serious rosé is not one to sip and quickly forget – it should age well beyond the normal curve). Out of state orders will be held for free under ideal storage conditions (56 degrees/70%humidity) until shipping is possible. Locals may pick up at their leisure. For current local pick up and arrival/ship information, please see your OARS link below (at the bottom of this offer) - don’t know how to access your OARS? Simply click the link and see your account.
