Tasted by HitAnyKey on 2/14/2017 & rated 90 points: A wonderful bubbly paired with Valentine's Day sushi at home. (1871 views)
Tasted by bzell on 9/7/2013 & rated 89 points: Good sparkling wine tastes of strawberries with a clean refreshing finish. (4402 views)
Tasted by agorman on 12/24/2012 & rated 90 points: Since the label said "Blanc de Noirs" I didn't know what color to expect. Poured pink-tinged but not really pink; someone else called it coppery, and I'd have to agree with that. Maybe "copper-pink." Nose: red, juicy but subtle fruit and minerals, to me. (I'm still trying to learn how to describe nose.) Taste/mouth: crisp, dry, refined fruit with medium feel; tight, tiny bubbles; and elegant smoothness. I might just have a new favorite from the Iron Horse stables! (4815 views)
Tasted by cycfan on 12/16/2012 & rated 90 points: Really enjoyed this wine, Strawberry, minerality, and ripe red apple on the nose. Wonderful flavors of apricot, cherry, strawberry and cardamom with cinnamon and lime on the finish. Great acidic balance, very refreshing. (5019 views)
Tasted by nlassow on 12/6/2012: Perfectly tart, cuts through triple cream fromage with ease. (5093 views)
Tasted by North316 on 8/28/2012 & rated 89 points: I have very limited experience with sparkling wines, so keep that in mind when reading these notes.

Color: Nice vibrant pink color, think strawberry starbursts
Nose: I didn't get a lot on the nose here, maybe some strawberries, citrus, a little floral?
Taste: This was a nice dry rose sparkler. Good acidity and crisp citrus stawberry/watermelon flavors. I was hoping a little more sweetness (but didn't necessary expect it).

This had some nice tight, small, bubbles and was light and crisp. Paired very well with a variety of light finger foods (apples, grapes, salami, prosciutto, cheese, olives and french bread). Definitely worthy of a special occasion. (4486 views)
Tasted by Rudderowb on 8/13/2012 & rated 90 points: Great balance, diverse nose to palate. Really nice. (2046 views)
Tasted by vin0vin0 on 7/29/2012 & rated 91 points: Fantastic California sparkler that rates right up there with the best from the US. Dry, vibrant, almond, crisp citrus, acidity, nice tight bubbles. This is as close to France as California is going to get. (1572 views)
Tasted by richardhod on 5/15/2012: Very good. See https://www.cellartracker.com/new/wine.asp?iWine=1144777 entry for my notes: the same wine (2439 views)
Tasted by richardhod on 5/15/2012 & rated 89 points: Drier than its dosage would suggest, this definitely drinks like a dry Rosé, given its bracing acidity, but you can tell it has dosage. Not a huge distinctive wine, but refined, well-made and subtle drinking, this is a very classy, medium-bodied tart strawberry fizz. (2393 views)
Tasted by VeniVediBibi on 3/31/2012 & rated 89 points: Lovely rosy color and floral overtones. A good solid sparkler to use to celebrate an occasion. (1737 views)
Tasted by RobSpectator on 1/29/2012 & rated 92 points: Beautiful translucent peach / copper appearance. Subtle strawberry and smokiness on the nose. Excellent balance with subtle strawberry. Nice finish! (1940 views)
Tasted by TannicBeast on 1/1/2012 & rated 90 points: Delightfully pink and quite complex. (1766 views)
Tasted by cdietrich on 12/24/2011 & rated 88 points: Quite lovely...great accompaniment to the cheese tray before drinner (1840 views)
Tasted by MH Amateur on 12/24/2011 & rated 90 points: Drank at Xmas eve; great start to evening. Everyone enjoyed it. Hints of apple. Not too sweet; perfect balance. Would buy again at $25 per bottle. (1468 views)
Tasted by jmcmurtry on 12/19/2011 & rated 89 points: Very pleasant. Good value (1952 views)
Tasted by peternelson on 11/25/2011 & rated 90 points: Orange-pink; light strawberry and wheat bread; high acidity, good bread notes with rich body; still manages to be quite airy, with a nice medium finish. (884 views)
Tasted by rmm on 11/7/2011 & rated 89 points: Iron Horse making wonderful bubbles like they always do. Old world style rose excellent in every way. Still prefer the "Make Up" cuvee a bit more, but would never refuse this. (2029 views)

Artisanal Winemaking: Wedding Cuvée is our interpretation of a Blanc de Noirs. In blending this wine we choose Pinot
Noir lots that are extremely expressive and fruit forward (including some lots originally intended for our Brut Rosé).
Then in a decided step away from convention, we blend in a bit of steely Chardonnay to add a firm acid backbone.
Hand harvested in the chill of early morning our Pinot Noir is gently pressed as whole clusters. The juice slowly ferments
in stainless steel tanks at 62° to 65° f retaining bright fruit aromas and flavors in the wine. The dosage for the
2007 Wedding is 4ml Blanc de Blancs LEX.
Precision Winegrowing: At Iron Horse "Estate Bottled" means that the winemaking begins in the vineyard. Our location
in Green Valley represents the very best soil, climate and aspects for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Our goal is to
grow the best winegrapes we should be growing through what we call "precision winegrowing." All pruning, canopy
management, irrigation and cover crop decisions are determined on a block-by-block (and sometimes even vine-byvine)
basis, considering both the vintage at hand and the long-term needs of the land.
For Sparkling and Still Wine, Precision Harvesting is Key: Our only rule is to make the best wines we can. We wait
until harvest to decide sparkling or still, as the only difference is the brix level (or the amount of sugar in the grapes, less
for sparklings, more for still). Then winemaker David Munksgard considers berry size (bigger is better for sparklings,
smaller for still), the health of the canopy, clone selection, even small details such as the relative dampness of the cover
crop can make a difference. If necessary, parts of the same block may be picked on different days.
Tasting Notes & Food Pairings: By nose strawberry, minerality and ripe red apple. In the mouth apricot, cherry,
strawberry and cardamom, cinnamon with lime at the finish. Match with Asian cuisine, garden fresh vegetables, anything
to do with mushrooms. A perfect brunch wine—eggs, berries and salmon, though all you really need is dark, bitter
-sweet, high cocoa content chocolate.

Champagne Blend

"Champagne blend" is a classic grape blend that typically includes Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and/or Pinot Meunier in any proportions.

However, this blend can also include Arbane, Fromenteau (Pinot Gris), Petit Meslier and/or Pinot Blanc as well.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
