Tasted by AD_jutant on 4/6/2024 & rated 85 points: brvino Wine Tasting #5 - Rosé (brvino Undergraduate Wine Club at UCLA): Much more interesting on the nose with white pepper, strawberry jam, lavender, and toast (maybe cheese?). Cherry shows again and maybe watermelon, too. There is a lot of energy and juiciness on the nose.
On the palate, it’s fun and exciting. Grapefruit, honey, and even a little bit of ginger.
I like this one.

Tasted by Bubblesearcher23 on 3/6/2024 & rated 89 points: Color is a golden orange. Lovely nose of strawberry, green apple, pear. Fresh and bright. Large bubbles, not super refined. Palate is a bit flat, but a nice mix of strawberry, red fruit, and orchard fruit, decent acidity. Definitely an enjoyable pour. (747 views)
Tasted by Barry Notes on 2/21/2024 & rated 89 points: GRAND TASTING #2: Med coral color. Good, steady bubble stream. For the money, this is great stuff. Fresh, fruity, effervescent. Not complex but easy drinking and a real bargain. (629 views)
Tasted by Vino Me on 2/11/2024 & rated 88 points: Ordered a glass in a restaurant and it was served in a coup. Pinkish orange color. Solid bead with notes of fresh raspberries and some stoney nuances. Rather fresh. 88 points. (652 views)
Tasted by oakville72 on 1/14/2024 & rated 89 points: Very nice, if modest, pinot noir-based Crémant d'Alsace. Bubbles are relatively large compared to a quality Champagne or Crémant de Bourgignon, but that's because, according to the Lucien Albrecht website, the wine has spent just a year in the bottle on the secondary fermentation lees. The result is a quality sparkler for the price — certainly one for more everyday drinking than saving for a special occasion. (891 views)
Tasted by Rhetion on 1/8/2024 & rated 89 points: Appearance: Salmon pink
Nose: Nearly all strawberry, with a little bit of peach thrown in
Palate: Bright tasting and fizzy, with a medium finish for the end. (858 views)
Tasted by MJP Hou TX on 12/26/2023: Cosmopolitan Telluride.

Half bottle ordered with appetizers. No formal notes. Decent price point on the menu. (1082 views)
Tasted by Graniwinkle on 11/2/2023 & rated 87 points: Crisp, slightly bready, strawberry, creamy, floral nose. (1435 views)
Tasted by lazy on 11/1/2023 & rated 90 points: Salmon pink. Smelled strawberry, ruby red grapefruit or maybe orange, brioche, and yeastiness; tasted the same. The mousse persists pretty well, the body is light, the finish is refreshing with fruitiness fading to dry with medium length. Could use a touch more acid, but in the whole one to come back to especially at the price. (812 views)
Tasted by jrr2ok on 10/12/2023 & rated 85 points: Red fruit pronounced; decent effervescence. A bit heavy for what it is. (922 views)
Tasted by markydecker on 7/31/2023 & rated 92 points: QPR is off the charts with this fabulous Cremant rose. Intense mousse, lively acidity, minerality. Strawberries on the nose and palate, very refreshing. At a third of the cost of a NV Rose Champagne, this is an amazing value and a wine to be purchased in quantity. A very enjoyable drink. (1446 views)
Tasted by Barry Notes on 7/28/2023 & rated 90 points: PnP chilled. Bright pink color, nice persistent bubble stream. Light, fruity, flavorful, easy drinking. Nothing off. Great value at $23 (956 views)
Tasted by Chied on 5/14/2023 & rated 92 points: Great with spicy fried chicken sandwiches! Happy Mothers’ Day!!! (1481 views)
Tasted by ascallis on 3/8/2023 & rated 82 points: I don’t love the way this finishes (1358 views)
Tasted by Madera16 on 2/20/2023: Touch green apple, pretty clean. Clean palate, touch high on the fusel, good acid, touch of heat. (1166 views)
Tasted by MineFineWine on 1/16/2023 & rated 92 points: 5/5 EXCELLENT, COMPLEX AND ENJOYABLE (1212 views)
Tasted by Omas list on 12/30/2022 & rated 88 points: This was a nice sparkling wine. Great with turkey and lobster. Nice balance of acidity. Strawberry , sour cherries and green apples. (1095 views)
Tasted by gstutz on 11/30/2022 & rated 84 points: Fun bottle of wine. Good aperitif prior to thanksgiving meal. Pronounced strawberry notes and a touch of sweetness which turns slightly bitter on finish. (1234 views)
Tasted by The Drunken Cyclist on 9/20/2022 & rated 91 points: Retail $24. 100% Pinot Noir. I really should drink more of this wine; I find it for about $16 at my local grocery store and it is certainly a bargain at that price. Bright red fruit, fantastic tartness, and a lengthy finish. It might be a tad sweet, but only a tad, but it works well with all the fruit and acidity. Excellent.

Tasted by The Drunken Cyclist on 7/14/2022 & rated 90 points: Retail $24. 100% Pinot Noir. I put the Crémants from Alsace right up there with those from the Jura as the the best French sparkling wines outside of Champagne. And I have long considered Albrecht as one of the top producers of bubbles in the region. It has been a couple of years since I have tried the rosé and I remain a fan. Bright red fruit, fantastic tartness, above-average length. Excellent.

Tasted by VAGentleman on 5/5/2022 & rated 88 points: Pleasant enough. Starts with lovely purity of strawberry, quince, and apple. Acidity gives way to Alsatian sugar and ends with just a touch of gasoline. New to us so fun and different. But not to be taken too seriously. (1164 views)
Tasted by timewithwine on 4/29/2022: Another QPR bottle of delicious strawberries and cream, with a touch of anise on the finish. Always a solid performer punching well above its price point. Recommended. (902 views)

(NV Lucien Albrecht Brut Rose Cremant d’Alsace Alsace) An enjoyable, everyday sparkling wine that can frequently be found on sale in grocery stores, this wine brings sweet raspberries and strawberry aromas and flavors. The palate is dry, crisp, and light bodied. Note that I’m listing this wine as recommended as I always see it for a sub $20 price. At $23, I would pass. 100% Pinot Noir. 8,000 cases imported. Pinot Noir

Varietal character (Appellation America) | Varietal article (Wikipedia)
Pinot Noir is the Noble red grape of Burgundy, capable of ripening in a cooler climate, which Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot will not reliably do. It is unpredictable and difficult both to grow and to vinify, but results in some of the finest reds in the world. It is believed to have been selected from wild vines two thousand years ago. It is also used in the production of champagne. In fact, more Pinot Noir goes into Champagne than is used in all of the Cote d'Or! It is also grown in Alsace, Jura, Germany, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Romania, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, and so forth, with varying degrees of success.

Pinot Noir is one of the world's most prestigious grapes. It is very difficult to grow and thrives well in France, especially in Champagne and Burgundy. Pinot Noir thrives less in hot areas, is picky on soil, and deserves some oak storage.

Pinot Noir, or Blauburgunder / Spätburgunder in German, is a blue grapevine - and, as the German name suggests, the grape comes originally from Burgundy in France.

The grape, which thrives in calcareous soils, is used primarily for the production of red wine, and it is widely regarded as producing some of the best wines in the world. The wine style is often medium-bodied with high fruit acidity and soft tannins. It can be quite peculiar in fragrance and taste, and not least in structure - which may be why it is referred to as "The Grapes Ballerina".
Pinot Noir is also an important ingredient in sparkling wines, not least in champagne since it is fruity, has good acidity and contains relatively little tannins.
The grape is considered quite demanding to grow. The class itself consists of tightly packed grapes, which makes it more sensitive to rot and other diseases.

Pinot Noir changes quite easily and is genetically unstable. It buds and matures early which results in it often being well ripened. Climate is important for this type of grape. It likes best in cool climates - in warm climates the wines can be relaxed and slightly pickled.
In cooler climates, the wine can get a hint of cabbage and wet leaves, while in slightly warmer regions we often find notes of red berries (cherries, strawberries, raspberries, currants), roses and slightly green notes when the wine is young. With age, more complex aromas of forest floor, fungi and meat emerge.

In Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Hungary, it often produces light wines with less character. However, it has produced very good results in California, Oregon and New Zealand.

With its soft tannins and delicate aroma, it is excellent for white fish, chicken and light meat. For the stored wines you can serve small game. Classic duck breast is a matter of course, a Boeuf Burgundy and Pinot Noir are pure happiness.

Pinot Noir loses quality by over-harvesting.
Pinot Noir is prone to diseases, especially rot and mildew. Viruses cause major problems especially in Burgundy.
Pinot Noir are large round grapes with thin skins. Relatively high in alcohol content. Medium rich tannins and good with acid.
As a young person, Pinot Noir has a distinctly fruity character such as raspberries, cherries and strawberries.
A mature Pinot Noir, the taste is different. Cherry goes into plum and prune flavors. It smells of rotten leaves, coffee, moist forest floor and animal wine. This must be experienced.
In warm climates you find boiled plum, some rustic, little acid.
If the grapes are over-grown, the wine will be thin, with little color and flavor.
