Tasted by ColoradoRick on 6/24/2013 & rated 89 points: Found is lone 2003 in the cellar. Who knew? Figuring that it would not be any better tomorrow, we popped and poured. Yet, it was a total fruit bomb. Yummy with the barbecue. Want more! (2237 views)
Tasted by KNasr on 1/21/2012 & rated 90 points: It's 2012 and cellar tracker folks said drink this by 2008 well, I can say that the bottle that I am currently tasting still maintained it's full bodied flavor, yes the alcohol shows on the finish (what zin doesn't) but the nose is full and the palate equally so. I wish I had a few more bottles. (2262 views)
Tasted by RoyM4 on 1/15/2012 & rated 88 points: Had after we came home from a Zin tasting and again the next day. Decided that this wine still has a good fruit taste with a slight bit of spice and a nice finish. Glad we still have 2 bottles left (2144 views)
Tasted by bigmac98 on 1/2/2012 & rated 90 points: drank my last bottle :( Still excellent. wonderful fruit. paired with chicken paprikash. (2180 views)
Tasted by bigmac98 on 1/10/2011 & rated 90 points: dark purple color. Wonderful fruit (black berries), vanilla. This wine is aging very well. Paired with homemade Cincinnati chili. The spicy food was an excellent match. I am very pleased that I have a few more bottles (2216 views)
Tasted by 8count on 6/29/2010 & rated 90 points: This was really good. Drank by itself, no decanting. Wish I had another bottle (955 views)
Tasted by lorenzo on 11/5/2004 & rated 84 points: Seattle's 'Twisted Tongues' rock out with some ZINs (Mercer Island, WA, USA): Tasted blind at TT Zin night
'Low Sugar rasberry jam.'
The fruit was there, but this wine just wasn't concentrated or complex enough to stand up to its friends.
My Ranking 84 points and (12th best of 15)
Group Ranking (12th of 15)
>once the wines were unveiled -- I searched this one out to retaste. I had heard good things about this particular wine. After staring at the label and retasting -- I thought maybe, MAYBE this could be an 85/6 (3432 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.
