Tasted by pyrat40 on 1/27/2015 & rated 88 points: Drank this a bit after its drink-by date but it had held up fine. Dark color, dark berry fruits. If you like primitivo you'll like this. A good weeknight wine with pasta bolognese, and a great value at 6.99! (4818 views)
Tasted by Raja on 6/5/2014 & rated 87 points: Went great with spicy, Chinese food (5617 views)
Tasted by nmdustdevil on 5/6/2014 & rated 86 points: I "discovered" this wine about 5 years ago and always keep a few bottles as my every day pizza/pasta wine. The 2010 rendition seems to be very soft, with little or no tannic intrusion. Plenty of fruit and enough acid at the finish to give it an uplift. I don't think it will get any better. Drink now and wait for the next release. No world beater, but a fine QPR at <$8. (5733 views)
Tasted by Mike Kopanski on 11/21/2013 & rated 87 points: I am very surprised to get a lot of French oak on the nose and palate. Not that it doesn't work, just not at all typical for Puglian reds. The oak gives this 2010 some serious youth and vitality. The color is light, surprisingly clear purple. Nice violets on the nose with cherries and plums. Only medium bodied. Spicy red raspberry first across the lips, evolving to a richer cranberry further down. Things really start to integrate with some air and swirling. Not a big acid wine. Bark and black cherry finish.  Tasted by vegastom2 on 11/17/2013: Good wine with pizza. Good price point (6788 views)
Tasted by ericdavis311 on 9/16/2013 & rated 88 points: On the nose lots of plum, cherry and spice. On the palate lots of dark fruits, cocoa, some subtle licorice spice with good acidity. A little hot on the finish for only 13.5%.. This is a good wine for the price... have it with some pizza or pasta. (3798 views)
Tasted by Evyncke on 7/25/2013 & rated 85 points: A lot of body while I was expected a light wine, else good (3532 views)
Tasted by Not647f on 7/23/2013: Completely enjoyable table wine. The primitivo is up front, with brambly notes of blackberry that will be familiar to Zin drinkers. It's given a little balance by the Negroamaro, which balances the sweetness with a little bitter, but I think this is still a Zin drinker's wine. Had it with portobella mushrooms and pesto-sauced penne, which wasn't the perfect match, but I wanted red and this did the job. (3147 views)
Tasted by mfowler52 on 7/5/2013: Nice fruit good chilled would buy again (2649 views)
Tasted by Tylerben on 6/21/2013 & rated 86 points: Medium bodied, uncomplicated, fruity and flavorful. Went well with our pizza. Good everyday wine. (2706 views)
Tasted by Bandreas on 5/24/2013 & rated 84 points: Deep garnet color,
on the nose dark berry fruit, dusty tannins, steamed maroons. Interesting and pleasant.
on palate good tannin acid level. tannins overshadow the fruit at the moment. still Young. a good wine for hearty food. Might even improve for a couple of years. (2427 views)
Tasted by Jerel1957 on 5/19/2013 & rated 87 points: Medium bodied, easy drinking, balanced, enjoyable with or without food. (2079 views)
Tasted by dchaley on 5/2/2013 & rated 87 points: a nice everyday drinking wine. for the price seems to be well structured with the cabernet showing through in the blend. (2175 views)
Tasted by eddieshindig on 3/29/2013 & rated 87 points: Very decent on a pop and pour paired with some leftover papardelle with a tomato/cheese sauce. Food friendly and a very quaffable house red for your weekday pasta nights. Decent structure and body that leans on the cabernet. Brambly and inky on the nose, though it isn't the most giving wine on that front. On the palate, initial attack has dark fruits upfront along with tobacco and white pepper and spices, and fades away to a little bit less on the back end. Occasional notes of tar bubbles, and dark licorice come in and out. Almost get a wet sponge essence with superripe plums. Not terribly complex, but great for a side glass while you prepare and dine on your Italian feast. (2736 views)
Tasted by tenor12bucks on 3/20/2013 & rated 86 points: Uncomplicated quaffer. Black cherry flavors with some lingering anise flavors on the back palate. Not bad but not the best "pizza wine" at this price point. (2504 views)
Tasted by Legend38 on 2/22/2013 & rated 87 points: Great find for 12$. Spice, tobacco and all around bold flavor. (2558 views)
Tasted by BaylinBoy on 12/27/2012 & rated 88 points: still solid, excellent everyday drink value-taste balance (3277 views)
Tasted by Samacabral66 on 12/23/2012 & rated 88 points: A berry aroma with a black licorice. A fruitful flavor with a dark chocolate finish. Good balance bottle. (3249 views)
Tasted by Wine Gent on 12/21/2012 & rated 75 points: Restaurant - Il Forniao - 2012 (Coronado, San Diego, CA): Strange earthy, tar aroma. Did not really go well with any appetizer or main meal of shrimp, scallops, and crab in a red sauce. Tasted at Il Forniao restaurant on Coronado island. Overpriced at $9 / glass and $35 / bottle restaurant price. (3234 views)
Tasted by leatonmb on 11/23/2012 & rated 87 points: Great nose with cherry and a soft vanilla, tasting has some plum and cherry upfront and some pepper and licorice at the mid palate and finish. Moderate to full body wine with moderate tannins. . Great wine for the 7 dollar price point at bottle king.. Great wine with bold foods.. Had with some provolone cheese and really enjoyed... Would benefit from decanting.. Open up and soften. (3601 views)
Tasted by BaylinBoy on 10/27/2012 & rated 89 points: lovely soft red fruit, solid structure, at its best after some breathing, great taste-value (2935 views)
Tasted by haBu on 9/13/2012 & rated 83 points: peppery, red raspberry fruit highlighted by warm mid-palate and with hints of licorice. Forgot I tasted this three months ago. Needs to be opened and aired before serving (3482 views)
Tasted by CellarGuy17 on 9/1/2012: Spicy. Good pizza wine. (3636 views)
Tasted by Barrygloec on 7/15/2012 & rated 90 points: Tormaresca Neprica goes best with food. I think I like it with almost any food, but without food it's only ok. (3716 views)
Tasted by haBu on 7/8/2012 & rated 82 points: Sampling a bottle from the bin; please let it breathe, let it linger on in the cellar. Think it will round out in the near term. For the price a nice drinking wine now with food, a little spice, but nothing I can put my palate on. (3819 views)
