Tasted by WineCenturyAZ on 9/22/2013 & rated 87 points: Nice. Mostly neutral nose hint of vanilla, medium ruby color in the glass, bit hot on the palate but it fades with some time, ripe black fruits and slight notes of raisins (1796 views)
Tasted by jcsf420 on 4/26/2013 & rated 91 points: Drinking well right now, love these 3’s! (2253 views)
Tasted by dmitchell4 on 3/20/2013 & rated 86 points: Will wait for another year, to see if any improvement (1976 views)
Tasted by Merengue on 2/5/2013 & rated 89 points: A touch of oaky vanilla on the nose that thankfully is not very present on the palate. Medium bodied, pleasant and easy to drink, with fruity sweeet blackberry undertones, earthiness but a bit of hollow on the mid palate and some heat. medium tannins on a medium long finish. This is an excellent QPR at $14 and a nice everyday versatile wine. (2020 views)
Tasted by jcsf420 on 1/27/2013 & rated 89 points: Drinking well right now but needs more time or at least an hour decant. (2024 views)
Tasted by corkscrews on 12/15/2012 & rated 89 points: Similiar notes to last time, but more integrated. (1172 views)
Tasted by dmitchell4 on 9/11/2012 & rated 89 points: Served with paella, very satisfactory if not great. (1400 views)
Tasted by corkscrews on 8/19/2012 & rated 86 points: A muted nose of dark fruits and some spice, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied kitchen sink blend, with raspberries, dark cherries, herbs, some spice but has heat also, did not come all together for me. (1416 views)
Tasted by whudock on 5/21/2012 & rated 90 points: a pleasant blend with depth and sophistication. (1565 views)
Tasted by tenor12bucks on 4/4/2012 & rated 91 points: Popped and poured with burgers off the grill.

Bright purple with medium to full body. Tons of fruit on the nose, with a hint of leather and a clean, fresh, appealing aroma.

Jammy, bright red fruit flavors on the palate, with exceptional balance between fruit, alcohol and body. Plenty of tannin left, and the finish is long. I think this wine will remain terrific for several years.

Just delicious. Exceptional QPR, particularly on sale for $16 at Moore Brothers. (1665 views)
Tasted by zbsussman on 3/10/2012: Decent, some structure, but just too much booze. You really feel that 15%; it's surprisingly balanced for a wine of such high alcohol content, but at the same time, 15% abv is 15% abv. It did work nicely with some hearty red sauce lasagna. (1600 views)
Tasted by whudock on 3/1/2012 & rated 90 points: Complex and pleasant (1591 views)
Tasted by whudock on 11/11/2011 & rated 89 points: Definitely needs to breathe for a couple of hours. lots of bramble and dark fruit, nice balance of spice and leather in the finish as well as Tart plum. should improve with age (1793 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
