Tasted by Motz on 5/5/2014 & rated 95 points: Such a mesmerizing nose of dusty Tuscan terroir, tobacco, minerals, charcuterie, and currant. Layer after layer on the palate, including coal and smoke. The wine also shows a strong metallic ore element throughout. Among the finest Tuscan wines I have tasted! 96? (1717 views)
Tasted by Bellissimo on 3/23/2011: Popped and poured, consumed over 2+ hours. Nose of earth, herbs, and dark fruits. Taste dark cherry and a hint of oak. Pretty firm tannins. Not a deep thinker; needs food to be enjoyed. (1683 views)
Tasted by mmurry on 12/18/2010 & rated 89 points: Wine and Cheese Pairing (Farpointe Cellar): The cab franc really comes through on the nose. Heavy on the barnyard and fresh green vegetables, it gave a good lift to the sweet berry fruit and spice. The hint of wood at the end was nice as well. The sweet berry and balsamic notes on the palate were great together, and the earth and spice flavors in the middle rounded everything out. It finish with a healthy dose of cedar. (2150 views)
