(5168 views)
Tasted by krispi on 8/14/2010 & rated 88 points: Had high expectations, but was a bit disappointed. Thought the nose less complex and intense than many taurasi´s at the same age. Maybe it will need yet more time in the bottle. In the mouth the wine is quite structured and medium to full bodied. Not bad, but hoped it be more exciting. Will keep my last bottle a few more years.  Tasted by Cole on 3/29/2010 & rated 93 points: Smoky flowers, meats, and fruit. Drank this bottle a few months ago, but am still wow'ed thinking about it. (5149 views)
(5332 views)
Tasted by whits on 9/7/2008 & rated 88 points: interesting, dry, and good match with a steak, earthy and bitter with a nice acidic profile and balanced tannins, enjoyable (3152 views)
Tasted by Ruubious on 7/13/2008 & rated 90 points: Nice Aromas of Black Cherry, Good taste Medium bodied, Tannins dropped after decanted 1Hr (2285 views)
Tasted by Cahill on 5/27/2006 & rated 88 points: At Umbria with N&G. Dark colored and medium bodied, ripe fruit and spice on the nose, I found a lot of cherry cola. Round tannins and easy drinking, but I expect more power from an Italian red in this price range. (2933 views)

Aglianico

Varietal character (Appellation America)

The Southern Italy Outpost (on the CellartTracker Forum)

Originally from Greece and an early Roman favorite, Aglianico was planted as early as the seventh century B.C. Infused with interesting aromas of plums, raisins and licorice. Dried floral notes flow easily into the medium to full-bodied palate of black pepper, smooth, subtle cherry, and plum flavors.. A stylish, intriguing young red, with fine tannins and a ripe balanced finish.
