Tasted by ecola on 5/2/2013 & rated 91 points: I like the weight and viscous mouthfeel. Tropical fruit, a little petrol, honey. Long finish with plenty of acidity. (1139 views)
Tasted by Hodad on 12/30/2012 & rated 89 points: Smooth and creamy with hints of citrus. Well balanced with nice acidity. (1256 views)
Tasted by CamWheeler on 3/29/2012 & rated 87 points: Honey and waxy nose with citrus and smokey elements. Creamy, medium bodied palate without much depth. (1670 views)
Tasted by chatters on 3/8/2012: Bonny Doon Vineyard Masterclass (Fix St. James, 111 Elizabeth Street, Sydney): Nose medium minus intensity, mineral - wet stone, stonefruit - nectarine, very slight sweet spice and very slight biscuit
Mouth Marzipan, medium plus alcohol, cream vanilla, hazelnut, almond, a little bitter, long finish that ends with honeyed notes. Glorious (1400 views)
Tasted by zscheiner on 8/20/2011 & rated 89 points: Boony Doon Cellar Door - Lunch & Tasting (Santa Cruz, CA): Yellow, slightly darker than the '08. Aromatically challenged. Round in the mouth, waxy, slightly honeyed with a bit of spice. Not much acidity but a nice mouthfeel. (2375 views)
Tasted by rwpalmer on 11/14/2010 & rated 89 points: This bottle honeyed but not at all oxidised or drying out. Lovely. (1305 views)
Tasted by rwpalmer on 4/26/2010 & rated 86 points: Quite a big wine lacking a little acidity and now starting to elegantly topple over. It might go a year or two yet. Difficult to tell but little conceivable to gain. Full, round and honeyed. Rather short, otherwise good, reliable fun. (1369 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 3/18/2010: How is it aging? Very mineral on the nose, does smell strongly of roussane. Really strong textural element to the palate. Still alive and kicking. (1438 views)
Tasted by Ikuyo on 2/27/2010: Lemon pale. On nose, white-flesh fruits and tobacco leafs. Little bit bitter taste and alcoholic, a shame. Amazingly, there is a kind of sense of place in this wine with fresh minerally. A white version of Cigare Volant of Randall Graham. (1691 views)
Tasted by rjhilgers on 12/24/2009 & rated 87 points: like lemon water with a touch of honey and soil. very delicate and well balanced. (1763 views)
Tasted by Xavier Auerbach on 5/6/2008 & rated 93 points: 73% Roussanne, 27% Grenache Blanc. Rich and velvety, juicy and rounded, wonderful typicity, white flowers, honey, spices, white pepper, depth, excellent acidity, lovely length, weighty but with finesse, lovely minerality. The next day fully evolved, with extremely fruity esters like a Gueuze beer, hint of sweetness and liquid rock on the finish. Very expressive, very outspoken and very good. (596 views)
Tasted by Art_Vandelay on 11/7/2007 & rated 88 points: Impressively oily palate with peach kernel and honeysuckle notes and just enough acidity. Enjoyable and a bit different. Drink now. (1843 views)
Tasted by armchairsommelier on 7/5/2007 & rated 88 points: Smoke and tobacco on the nose -- reminds me of driving past the Philip Morris cigarette factory on a hot and humid day in Richmond, VA. Silky, almost oily in its mouth-feel. Tea and nutmeg flavors linger and linger. And after about 5 minutes, very distinctive olive flavors arrived. Wow. This isn't your ordinary white -- definitely different and definitely intriguing. Salud! (1846 views)
Tasted by Paul-Richard on 4/8/2007 & rated 88 points: Nice upon opening. Seemed to fade quickly. (1828 views)
Tasted by sybarite on 5/6/2006: Nose not revealing much, perhaps a bit too cold. In the mouth you are hit immediately with smoke and tobacco. Good minerality. Expands to fill the mouth. A lingering, fruity finish. Good. (2069 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
