| Tasted by wtianseter on 7/9/2014 & rated 87 points: Bought this over two years ago just to try it. The wine is a solid Cab Light cherry and chocolate, a touch of tobacco and some silky tannin. Nicely made with good balance. (6124 views) |

| Tasted by Tim221 on 5/22/2012 & rated 86 points: A very good wine. Light bouquet of mushrooms and leather. Solid mouthfeel, with medium fruit forward, then a robust tannic pucker followed by lingering cherry acid aftertaste. Great with burgers. (4052 views) |

| Tasted by ny2sc on 1/15/2012 & rated 84 points: Nothing special. After considerable time decanting (got involved in a household project), we were pleasantly surprised how it improved. (3944 views) |

| Tasted by Tim221 on 5/11/2011 & rated 84 points: Not bad, especially for a 2009. Good flavor, but nothing special. Definitely pairs best with red meat. (4508 views) |
| Tasted by MadisonWIneGuy on 3/28/2011 & rated 86 points: Drank a while back and, other than the rating, would be unfair and perhaps inaccurate to try and recall decent notes at this point. Will make up for this when the second bottle is consumed. 86+ though, so not a bad wine. (4801 views) |
| Tasted by bbarth78 on 3/2/2011 & rated 88 points: Cab sav, merlot, petite syrah (3798 views) |
| Tasted by rrschrumjr on 1/11/2011 & rated 87 points: Aerated and poured. Found some orange, chocolate, and pepper on the very strong nose. Fruit forward on the taste, with dark, juicy fruits. Heavy tannins initially, but they fade as the bottle stays open.
This bottle could be an inexpensive crowd-pleaser. Very accessible fruit flavors, in good balance. Not terribly complex. The merlot really shines through in this blend. (4035 views) |

| Lyeth Producer websiteRed Blend.USAAmerican wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson Sonoma CountyMendocino CountySonoma CountySonoma Coast |
