Tasted by Mbressack on 5/18/2015 & rated 90 points: Dark mysterious and fine drinking. Ripe berries and soft tannins. (327 views)
Tasted by wynnewood500 on 5/17/2015: Drinking excellently! (265 views)
Tasted by wynnewood500 on 5/10/2015: Took a couple of minutes to open in the glass. Started out with an overly fruity nose and tight flavors but opened up nicely. (291 views)
Tasted by Leshweuh on 3/31/2015: Very fruity (470 views)
Tasted by capacious on 1/12/2015 & rated 90 points: Have almost always liked trilogy and the 08 copy is a good example. Not an in your face, this has room and time - it doesn't overwhelm, doesn't assault the palate, but there is plenty in there. Might not last till after I'm gone like some of my Bordeaux, but that's ok. (1076 views)
Tasted by Pluecht on 12/21/2014 & rated 88 points: Green herbaceous smooth tannins. Not the best effort (1013 views)
Tasted by Grenik on 12/5/2014 & rated 89 points: Soft and food friendly. Ruby red core, vanilla and cola nose with some blue fruit and plum. Smooth palate but dominated by fruit and lacking in depth. Was better with food than alone. (810 views)
Tasted by grayfont on 10/14/2014 & rated 93 points: This was absolutely rocking - rich and deep with vibrant blue/black fruit, a nice full mouthfeel, and a medium/long finish that made us smile. Great juice. (1541 views)
Tasted by markandsusanw on 8/12/2014 & rated 92 points: Decanted and trained for sediment (had a bit) ... This is still just drinking beautifully. Super sad we dropped and broke one of our last bottles, but still enjoyed this fresh, bright blend. Strawberries, cherries and a touch of blue-black fruit to open. Good backbone, a touch of smoke and mineral. Well-balanced, well-made and all-around wonderful wine. (1758 views)
Tasted by Isalasdad on 5/4/2014 & rated 92 points: Dark fruits, smooth tannins and a smidgen of forest floor. (1933 views)
Tasted by Mbressack on 4/15/2014 & rated 91 points: Soft notes on first taste. Solid long on mouth and palette. Jammy, and dark berries. Slight tannins are well balanced with a surprising long finish. Tasting notes show this to be just drinking now, in the last year or two. It tastes pretty mature and not sure if it will hold up for long. (1917 views)
Tasted by slippytoad on 4/13/2014 & rated 92 points: Wish I had more of this. Nice smooth solid cab, pleasant mouthfeel with usual black fruit. Quite a long finish. (1748 views)
Tasted by Cullens on 3/21/2014 & rated 91 points: Nice soft wine with dark fresh fruit and powdery texture. (1523 views)
Tasted by Red Wine Johnny on 3/15/2014: Easy and good wine; however not a big-time Napa fruit bomb. (1461 views)
Tasted by Sauvyfan on 3/3/2014 & rated 91 points: This wine is definately getting into its drinking window as this is its best shoing for me. Fruit has come forward right from the start, but even more complex and open on the second night. Very smooth integrated tannins, and a solid finish. (1174 views)
Tasted by shellylowen on 1/3/2014 & rated 91 points: Mocha and dark berries, smooth tannins and medium finish. Good mouthfeel. (1346 views)
Tasted by Decanting fool on 12/27/2013 & rated 89 points: Jamminess just shy of too much which fortunately dissipates with several hours in the decanter. Has all the blah blah blahs working harmoniously but you won't say wow. Still, very good QPR, esp if you find it for under $40. Other recent Trilogy vintages have been more profound. (1432 views)
Tasted by DanielJ on 9/13/2013 & rated 89 points: Very dry. Lots of tannin. Flavor is good. Might should go for another few years. (2354 views)
Tasted by Dexter Morgan on 9/8/2013 & rated 91 points: Opaque garnet, with ruby rim. Black and blue fruit, cedar, spices, and a touch of cocoa on the nose. The full-bodied palate exhibits a silky texture, good richness, sweetness, and complexity, an ample mid-palate, oak and tannin on the back end, and closes with black currant fruit on the finish. This is all about balance and structure, the lush fruit pushing the envelope on ripeness but the other elements help it stop short of feeling jammy. Needs air to open up and integrate. Has a good life ahead of it. (1948 views)
Tasted by dacow on 7/30/2013 & rated 88 points: I usually love this wine. This vintage didn't do it for me. Usually this is silky and medium bodied delicious. This one didn't do it. Maybe I'll try another time to make sure it wasn't me. (2340 views)
Tasted by Sauvyfan on 7/26/2013 & rated 88 points: Not nearly as good as other vintages I have reviewed. (2037 views)
Tasted by absolutvodka on 5/28/2013 & rated 93 points: I love this wine. Nice balance and a crowd fave (2648 views)
Tasted by Gordianbar on 5/6/2013 & rated 90 points: Very smooth, good body and entry. Some scent of raisins early on then mellowed out. (2064 views)
Tasted by Red Wine Johnny on 3/31/2013 & rated 91 points: A very well-balanced wine; a little on the fruity side with a bit smokey and leathery with a medium finish. Overall a very enjoyable bottle. (2431 views)
Tasted by WineBarrique on 3/16/2013 & rated 89 points: Not as good as I thought it would be. Lacking in fruit and complexity. (2135 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
