Maybe this is the third bottle of the evening talking, but this wine was fantastic. Beautiful dark red fruits mixed with bright red fruits. The right amount acid for our palate - not tart, but as another reviewer mentioned, lip smacking. Wonderful mouth feel - silky. (1139 views)

mouth - sappy, concentrated, zingy plums, great acidity keeps this in check from being an over the top fruit bomb. once has to admire the concentration. has a sight salty savoriness on the midpalate which is also nice, framed by pleasant tannins on the finish. a superb domestic pinot, worth seeking out. 93+ (1826 views)

The nose is somewhat closed off at this young stage, but started to open after an hour+. Lip-smacking acidity keeps this light. Fruit-forward, but not a fruit bomb or flabby at all. This has ageing potential for the 5-7 years...great stuff. Just entering the drinking window. Drink with a 30-60 minute decant or hold 1+ years. (1631 views)

The wine is unfined and unfiltered yet beautifully radiant in the glass. Wonderfully aromatic immediately upon opening with classic aromas and flavors of bright cherries, black tea, sweet spice, and cola. Silky mouthfeel and long finishes that stays with you long enough to want to take another sip. Tremendous stuff and a very good value at $42. Highly recommended. Enjoyed it quite a bit more than the 2009 Radio Coteau Alberigi which was dominated by orange peel. (3695 views)

Bra struktur, inte alls bourgogne förstås utan den mer moderna stilen med mycket frukt, lite högre alkoholhalt, lite jordighet. Känns som den legat på ganska ny ek. Bra eftersmak som hänger kvar. Lättdrucket men inte stort. Ett vin som borde ligga ett tag till. (3025 views)

Better glasses and tasting environment likely account for this change in perception. Dark ruby. Intense nose of rich red fruit including raspberry and cherry with notes of earth. Mouth filling palate with juicy red fruits and a gentle gravely note. Very penetrating but silky wine. Long finish with of red fruit, flowers and earth. (3140 views)

Pinot Noir is the Noble red grape of Burgundy, capable of ripening in a cooler climate, which Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot will not reliably do. It is unpredictable and difficult both to grow and to vinify, but results in some of the finest reds in the world. It is believed to have been selected from wild vines two thousand years ago. It is also used in the production of champagne. In fact, more Pinot Noir goes into Champagne than is used in all of the Cote d'Or! It is also grown in Alsace, Germany, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Austria, and so forth, with varying degrees of success.
