 Tasted by JonnyG on 4/25/2015 & rated 92 points: An impressive showing for a young wine with the structure and stuffing to impress over the upcoming years. On this occasion, the pop & pour approach did it a disservice until aerated for an hour plus, and I think substantially more time would have served it well. Ripe floral nose. Palate of raspberry ad red currants and coffee, with a nice floral aspect. More intense than delicate. An underrated estate when it comes to its red IMO, especially in great vintages (the 2005 sings!). (765 views)

Taste: Medium bodied with medium acidity and some taught tannins. There are nice tones of dark red cherries, cranberries, and cedar.

Overall: This is lacking on both the nose and palate. The plate thins out slightly on the mid and finish. (3070 views)

Red berry syrup at the nose with some liquorice and soft oak. Great fruit concentration on the palate mixed with lots of earthy notes. Chewy ripe tannins. Will age really well. (2542 views)

(Chateau Carbonnieux (Pessac-Léognan)) Rather a velvety appearance to this rather crimson wine, and a lovely coulis of forest fruits on the nose, wild cherry and fraise de bois, all very attractive. The palate follows from this perfectly, the concentration relaxed, the presence rather juicy and open as a result, but with identifiable seams of tannin and acid running underneath. Rather an attractive, elegant and composed wine. Nice fruit depth at the edges with a touch of savouriness to them. This is very lovely, an impressive wine.  17-18 points
