Tasted by bdlsmoran on 2/3/2016 & rated 92 points: It is in a great place right now! Could hold for another year or two but why wait. (203 views)
Tasted by merryberry on 12/19/2015 & rated 93 points: Deep purple with just the slightest tinge of bricking. Blueberry, violets, baking spice, and cedar nose. Medium bodied, blackberries, black cherries, smoke, well integrated tannins, dark chocolate, and a long satisfying finish. Better than 5 years ago, I think its entered its prime of life. (512 views)
Tasted by Parnelli on 9/11/2015 & rated 88 points: Actually, this was a 2003 and is definitely showing its age. The cork came out in pieces, but the wine itself was not 'corked'. There's some brick brown color now and after a 90 minute decant, the nose is more leather than fruit. What fruit there is black prunes/raspberries. Tannins are quite present, but not really in a bad way ... drinks dry. If you have a bottle, don't hold it any longer. The wine went very well with the filet. I only wish I had drank this a couple of years ago. (916 views)
Tasted by Wicked Panda on 4/15/2015 & rated 90 points: Needed to open a little. Initially, was a little weak in the middle, but good entry and finish. After 1/2 an hour, the middle started to develop. (1522 views)
Tasted by Wicked Panda on 4/15/2015 & rated 90 points: Cork came out in prices. However wine was good. This came out of the bottle fully developed, good all the way through. (1646 views)
Tasted by jimyeni on 1/16/2015 & rated 95 points: Like silk. (1842 views)
Tasted by stevenjstein on 1/9/2015 & rated 95 points: I've been cellaring my Corison Cabs and finally got around to opening one. It was everything I hoped and then some. Soft, elegant, red/black fruit, with a touch of spice and herbs. Great structure. Drinking beautifully now, but doesn't seem close to done. (1597 views)
Tasted by aces219 on 1/1/2015: My last bottle of the 2003 and I was disappointed. The nose in the glass seemed slightly corked to me, and the taste was not the bold flavor I remember from other bottles. I'm a lot more sensitive to these things than other members of my family so I just went with it...bottle was gone and it seemed like people enjoyed it. Just a bad bottle I guess. (1520 views)
Tasted by emf on 12/25/2014: Beautiful wine. I really enjoy Corison with age, it is always an elegant wine experience. (943 views)
Tasted by PolarBear22 on 10/9/2014 & rated 92 points: Great Cabernet, great Corison. Very dark in the glass. Great nose and palate. Anniversary celebration, so light on notes. (1393 views)
Tasted by hal0 on 7/10/2014 & rated 90 points: Popped and decanted. Drank with prime rib. Very dark in the glass, nose of ripe black fruit, oak, savory spices. On the palate very fruit forward followed by noticeable oak, spice and heat. This is drinking well now but is still very youthful with soft tannins on the finish. Not terribly complex. Alcohol tastes much higher than the contents (mid-13%) would have you believe. (1747 views)
Tasted by klezman on 6/7/2014: Drinking beautifully. Everything great about Corison in one bottle. (2510 views)
Tasted by jimyeni on 5/26/2014 & rated 93 points: Drinking really well right now. Red fruits on the nose, a nice acidity and slight tannin grip that gave the wine some structure. Love drinking wines at this stage - still has some fruit, some good secondary and tertiary notes along with a bit of grip for structure. At the same time, very silky and floral. Yum. (1722 views)
Tasted by scott w on 4/1/2014 & rated 92 points: Drinking perfectly right now, blackberry earth current on the nose, blackberry, plum and black cherry on the palate. IMO the tannin is in a perfect place with just enough grip and good acid makes for a long finish. Glad I found a few more in my cellar. (2237 views)
Tasted by Cabfrancophile on 11/30/2013: Outstanding. Super bouquet of blackcurrant, plum, licorice, cedar. Nicely resolved palate, but still plenty of fruit and soft tannins. Dark fruits rule the day, in balance with the rest of the wine. Finishes pleasantly, lengthy. Decanted for 20 minutes, then poured back into the bottle prior to dinner. Great on its own or with food. Drank on Thanksgiving. (2489 views)
Tasted by jdabrowski1027 on 11/17/2013: unfortunately, this was massively corked. (2027 views)
Tasted by Zo65 on 8/22/2013 & rated 93 points: Silky smooth; pure liquid sophistication in the glass. Best value in Napa Valley Cab right now. (2571 views)
Tasted by Not404 on 7/7/2013 & rated 91 points: Drinking very well at the moment but with a hint that later might not be better.
Tasted by dsapp on 6/2/2013 & rated 93 points: Decanted for about two hours. Strong showing with naked baby lamb chops, zucchini, and grilled haloumi. Beautiful nose and fond memories of visiting the winery three summers ago. Fantastic "home" dining experience. And, on top of that, the Braves beat the Nationals. Could we ask for more? (2655 views)
Tasted by cbbrown3 on 1/20/2013 & rated 95 points: The wine is a fairly deep ruby red color. The nose is one of those I can sit and just smell and be happy, at least for a little while then I have to take a taste. The rich and sophisticated nose has cassis, cherry, melted licorice, dried herbs, well worn leather, spice box, tobacco, minerals, and just a bit of smoke. This has a medium body, ripe, mostly integrated tannins, and very good acidity. This has nice, rich and spicy fruit on the palate with dried herbs, tea leaves, and a touch of earthiness adding considerable depth and complexity. The finish is very long and lingering with the spicy fruit and dried herbs seeming to last forever. This was a killer bottle of wine that is in its prime drinking window. This should last for at least a couple more years in the cellar, but if you have multiple bottles, give one a try now. (3221 views)
Tasted by richardhod on 1/9/2013 & rated 94 points: Divine, with good acidity, violets, red-purple fruits and length! That wonderful zingy acidity but with smooth, well-weighted body.
This needs a fair amount of (aeration) decanting, as well as sedimentary decanting!

Straight out of bottle it's nice, but a little empty, meh, OK, like a good 10-15-year-old 3rd growth claret, but with an overnight in the bottle (not decanted) it's amazingly transformed, with aromas, more body, depth and complexity, now able to hold against the beautifully keen acidity. It may still be coming out of the dumb period, so needed that extra time because of it, but I think this is just such a tightly-drawn and beautifully supple wine that it just needs it.

Given the time it took to open up, I think peak will be in 5-10 years, ,especially since I just also had a 1989 which still had many years of possibility ahead of it!
I really look forward to trying one of the even better Kronos one of these days soon! (3781 views)
Tasted by hal0 on 11/20/2012 & rated 92 points: Popped and poured. Very dark purple in the glass. Nose of dark fruit, olive, mint. On the palate, fruit forward but with very savory notes. more mint, olive, herbs. Tannins have mellowed out and there's nice acidity on the medium to long finish. Overall very well balanced, sexy Napa cab. (3097 views)
Tasted by DrakkarNoir on 11/13/2012 & rated 91 points: Purple in glass. Nose of cedar, leather and faint cassis. Savoury palate, with some dark berries. Balanced with a lingering finish. I like. (2853 views)
Tasted by MattMauldin on 7/10/2012 & rated 91 points: Tasted at the winery. Savory leather & cedar on the nose with cassis and black cherry. Elegant palate with tea leaf, olive and savory spice along with emerging blueberry and black raspberry. Round polished tannins. Savory herb and red fruit on a medium plus finish. Very good but not quite to the level of the '04 or '01 from same tasting. (3490 views)
Tasted by redwhiteandrich on 6/4/2012 & rated 88 points: Unimpressed. While good and un-napaesque, there was nothing that stood out. Balanced yes, wonderful acidity but the fruit seemed muted and it just didnt move me. Had a 1994, a week prior and was also unimpressed. (2784 views)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.

2013 Vintage Notes:
"Napa Valley and virtually all of the North Coast of California (which obviously includes Sonoma and Mendocino Counties as well) has been on a qualitative tear since 2012. 2012 was a great vintage for nearly every varietal in North Coast California, but what is even more remarkable is that 2013 may turn out to be the finest vintage I have experienced in tasting North Coast varietals over the last 37 years. It's a game-changer in terms of the consistency of quality, the depth of quality, and the across-the-board excellence for so many wines." - Robert Parker
