Tasted by ucbeau on 10/20/2013: Delicious and fun. Not very complex but it does have a nice mouthfeel and textural quality. Age hasn't hurt this wine at all. Still has nice acidity, stone fruit, and citrus flavors. At peak now, so drink up! (1516 views)
Tasted by jkwatson on 6/6/2013 & rated 90 points: A really great, daily drinking S. Blanc from the Loire. Not amazing profound, but always delicious. (1686 views)
Tasted by JBVino on 11/22/2012: ditto to prior tasting...good QPR (2134 views)
Tasted by vanpe003 on 10/15/2012 & rated 89 points: No detailed notes. A nice balance, with good but not overpowering fruit depth and a sense of minerality. A very enjoyable wine, and excellent pairing with potato, leek and pancetta soup. Terrific QPR and while this is a great "everyday", it can also have a place at more important occasions assuming a thoughtful food pairing. Very versatile. (2338 views)
Tasted by johndefi on 7/11/2012 & rated 90 points: Light color, like straw. Rubber, mango, and crushed rock on the nose. Sea shell, rocky minerality, green apple, and asparagus on the palate. Faint butteriness on the finish. Great conveyor of terroir and excellent QPR. (2585 views)
Tasted by JBVino on 6/21/2012: Great energetic Loire. Solid acidity and minerality creating a wine with good balance and verve. (1418 views)
Tasted by dfeiner on 5/15/2012: Thought this was great for the price. And in general as well. Rich flavors of gooseberry, quinine, lime, grapefruit and a bit of cat pee. Very complete and enjoyable wine. (1257 views)
Tasted by Dulcie and Aylwin on 4/12/2012: Note similar to previous, though I might alter the grapefruit more towards orchard fruits a bit. Still, crackling with mineral freshness. (1003 views)
Tasted by Bumbanian on 4/8/2012 & rated 87 points: Nice fresh expression of Loire SB, with ample acidity and green apple/citrus fruit. Not up to the level of the 2009 in terms of minerality and balance, but a good summer drink. (840 views)
Tasted by HemiCuda on 3/17/2012 & rated 89 points: nice, highly acidic, correct Touraine. (977 views)
Tasted by BBennett on 3/16/2012 & rated 87 points: This is a gentle sav blanc. Very well balanced. A hit with guests but does not detract from the food. A perfect supporting player. (822 views)
Tasted by ChasDSM on 1/4/2012 & rated 92 points: Outstanding. Fresh Granny Smith apple on the nose. Crisp bright flavors of grapefruit and apple with strong underlying mineral character. (1141 views)
Tasted by markelln@bellsouth.net on 12/4/2011 & rated 91 points: Very good, but not Dagenau. (1300 views)
Tasted by jszczerb on 11/7/2011: nice acidity! (1024 views)
Tasted by nemo stone on 10/30/2011 & rated 85 points: Tried this at a low room temperature, the acid was very pronounced. This is granny smith apples all the way. Upon chilling the acid reduced, the wine tightened up, and a minerality appeared. This is not a complex wine but the apple and mineral is wonderful with this skin ripened goat cheese. This is definitely one to open upon a return home and a glass of something to wake you up is required. I've had Sanceres at twice the price that impressed me less. A good wine that when I run out I will not miss overly much, but will welcome back should it appear again. (946 views)
Tasted by Dulcie and Aylwin on 10/12/2011: Exposure to Les Trois Chenes turned us on to the qualities of Domaine Ricard, so it was nice to sample another offering. This one is very young and fresh and vibrant, with a slightly sherbet-y nose, brimming with citrus grapefruit attack on the palate, texture provided by typical chalky minerality, clean and bright, rarely finding equivalents in the New World.
