See my note from 1/26/13. Really well made. The wine had notes of tobacco that mixed well with herbs, spice and dark fruit. (1817 views)

Palate has alright balance. Fruit forward and ripe as expected with sweet dark berry flavours but a balanced structure. Falls short on body and finish, but a good everyday Cabernet. (1862 views)

The fruit shines and coats your tongue. Really nice. This wine along with the Mondavi Napa Valley, BV Napa Valley and BV Rutherford all sell for b/w $15 and $25, and they are great values (in my opinion). I would give this wine 3 years to soften up and then it will be fantastic. (1036 views)

 Tasted by Jay72274 on 11/15/2012: Day one: didn't decant, but probably should have. not a lot of fruit on the nose, mostly oak , some cedar, some smoke and tobacco flavors as well. Some black fruit on the palate, full bodied but finished with a lot of tannin and alcohol spike. not very immpressed at first, a bit harsh and unapproachable, but opened up a bit after about an hour, with a bit more darker fruit on both the nose and palate, blackberry and a bit of dark cherry. curious to see how this one does on day two. Day two, less oaky on the nose, still a bit of alcohol burn on the nose though. more dark cherry aroma coming through. mouthfeel is still medium, smoother than day one, relatively short finish, not much acidity, chalky tannin on the very dry finish. definitely more approachable and bit more open on day two. Matched up pretty well with a garlic/gruyere sausage pasta, helped cut through a bit of the tannin to ease the finish even more. (1462 views)
