Tasted by guchl on 12/28/2013 & rated 90 points: No notes, writing well after the fact... Very nice though. Wish I had more! (460 views)
Tasted by mibuwolf83 on 3/9/2013 & rated 88 points: Also a pop and pour. I agree with cmaldoon's note. This bottle is showing some sediments as well, much like the other 2003 (but the "non-reserve" version) I drank a month before. I was also surprised by the wine's acidity. You can definitely tell the "heavier" oak treatment that this bottling received. I actually prefer the regular bottling compared to this reserve bottling because I'm not a big fan of that heavy oak style of wine. (756 views)
Tasted by cmaldoon on 1/16/2013 & rated 88 points: Pop and pour.

Color: dark ruby. Moderate sediment. Nose: fruity and well-balanced but not special. Palate: strong blueberry with some blackberry and oak. Bright acidity for such dark flavors. Fruit, oak and tannin well integrated at this age. Tannins significant quantity, but very nice chalky quality. (885 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
