Tasted by foobarski on 2/12/2016 & rated 88 points: Last bottle. Largely consistent with previous reviews, but definitely tasting like I'm not making a huge mistake by not hanging on to it longer. Just a certain something that says, "Drink Now or Regret Later". (2563 views)
Tasted by foobarski on 9/6/2015 & rated 88 points: Still very consistent with my previous reviews. Still a hearty, spicy nose, meaty and full of flavor. (2672 views)
Tasted by allensounhein on 12/23/2014 & rated 90 points: Really nice (3003 views)
Tasted by amswine on 11/29/2014 & rated 91 points: Really like this wine. Similar to previous notes. (3142 views)

Tasted by foobarski on 4/22/2014 & rated 88 points: Still doing nicely. Rich, earthy nose, meaty tannins, luscious. (1735 views)
Tasted by jpleedy on 8/13/2013 & rated 91 points: My girlfriend and I love this wine... it had an old world rusticity to it while having Napa concentration and fruit. (1882 views)
Tasted by Sniktaw on 7/8/2013 & rated 88 points: Nice lite easy drinker. (2211 views)
Tasted by brooklynJ&O on 6/21/2013 & rated 84 points: uninspiring but pleasant enough. nice floral undertone that saves it. does go well with barbecued foods (like the bottle says) (1382 views)
Tasted by Sniktaw on 6/8/2013 & rated 87 points: Nice 2nd bottle. Fruit forward and smooth on the palate. (1752 views)
Tasted by Sniktaw on 5/18/2013 & rated 86 points: Promises more than it delivers. Nothing bad just overhyped. (2042 views)
Tasted by Winoluver on 5/17/2013 & rated 91 points: AGM
I don't know when I've had a bottle so different the second day. So many more layers than first days hammering of oak, leather & licorice on finish. 2nd day is smooth berries wt hints of licorice, vanilla & chocolate. As others have said, decant for at least 3 hrs for best results. (764 views)
Tasted by Sniktaw on 5/16/2013 & rated 89 points: Easy drinking pleasant wine. It doesn't to be more than it is and for $16 we enjoy it. (1908 views)
Tasted by Carnage13 on 5/3/2013 & rated 88 points: My first WTSO purchase. A little disappointed upon first opening the bottle. Very acidic on the back end on first tasting. BUT...2nd day was completely different. Very mellow. Nice body with good depth of dark berry flavors. Definitely decant and let this one open up for a while. (738 views)
Tasted by AAJR on 4/16/2013 & rated 88 points: Good QPR($16.00).. Enjoyed this bottle. Glad I have 2 left. Smooth finish
Medium body. Berry flavors. (935 views)
Tasted by SSGibson on 4/4/2013 & rated 88 points: Dusty fruit on the nose when first opened and has a surprisingly "old world" style for a Napa red blend. Leather and dark fruit with a bit of pepper. Full mouth feel, nice complexity, and relatively long finish -- particularly at this price point ($17). (2496 views)
Tasted by Winoluver on 3/24/2013 & rated 89 points: AGM

Heavy, dark fruit. Same leather, licorice as the last bottle last yr. Still great value for under $20. (746 views)
Tasted by amswine on 3/2/2013 & rated 88 points: With roast pork dinner I enjoyed this wine - mineral on the nose but tasting reveals plum and earth tones. No noticeable change over 2 hours. Recommended consumption is by 2014 - may continue to develop beyond that. (1941 views)
Tasted by rhfactor on 1/6/2013 & rated 88 points: not bad for a everyday drinking wine (2509 views)
Tasted by lesliefrank on 12/29/2012 & rated 88 points: Powerful red wine with medium Finnish, plums, leather and licorice. (973 views)
Tasted by NoVaHokie on 12/26/2012 & rated 90 points: Drinking well, integrated flavors. has a touch of heat and could still cellar for a while. Enjoyed this very much and will buy more if it comes out again at the price point offered by WTSO. (923 views)
Tasted by Murali on 11/17/2012 & rated 93 points: With Amit and Shiwali

Very very good (998 views)
Tasted by Winoluver on 10/26/2012 & rated 89 points: Decanted for an hour. Smooth wt cherry, hint if licorice. WTSO & bought for less than $20. Very good bottle. (885 views)
Tasted by lesliefrank on 9/6/2012 & rated 89 points: I liked this wine it was full bodied with a lasting taste full of dark fruit. Great buy. (3388 views)
Tasted by MuseMaven on 5/2/2012 & rated 88 points: Color is light ruby, merlot-style see-through. P & P first. Good, strong nose. A little French funk, some benzine/petrol, sharp fruitiness, not sweet. Sharp attack on the palate, too. Tannins are a bit biting, fruit's a little in the background, but there. Strawberries, cranberries, chocolate (very light), some bitterness throughout. Not so dry on the finish, which is long. After a very short time sitting, smooths out considerably. Very nice fruit on the finish (still very long). After some time in the glass, petrol & benzine (both interesting complexities) blowing off a bit, fruit is taking a leading role, tannins not so sharp and flattening a bit - looking very good for the money (I paid $16).

2 days later, nose still good & strong. Very smooth on the palate, no funk left, only fruit. Smooth and soft merlot. Tannins & a little bitterness toward the back end. Finish is long, but a little flatter. Good fruit, nice complexity, especially at this price point. Stays with you. (4348 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.
