Tasted by jeffm_fla on 1/30/2016 & rated 90 points: A nice wine which I think will continue to evolve. A lot of old school herbaceous flavors with an elegant structure, but not really my style. This is a wine I wanted to love, but only like. One bottle left, will probably wait a couple more years. (49 views)
Tasted by jeffm_fla on 2/15/2013 & rated 90 points: Subdued; not a big showy cabernet. Probably needs some time and more air than I gave it. Nice wine, but I will give it a couple years before opening another bottle. (2167 views)

California

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.

2013 Vintage Notes:
"Napa Valley and virtually all of the North Coast of California (which obviously includes Sonoma and Mendocino Counties as well) has been on a qualitative tear since 2012. 2012 was a great vintage for nearly every varietal in North Coast California, but what is even more remarkable is that 2013 may turn out to be the finest vintage I have experienced in tasting North Coast varietals over the last 37 years. It's a game-changer in terms of the consistency of quality, the depth of quality, and the across-the-board excellence for so many wines." - Robert Parker
