Community Tasting History

Community Tasting Notes (average 89.7 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 3 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by Dexter Morgan on 10/26/2014 & rated 90 points: Beautiful ruby/crimson appearance, bricking orange. So many elements in its mature, ripe fruit bouquet: cherries and plums, earth and sea air, Bloody Mary cocktail and celery salt, touches of gardenia, eucalyptus, and toasted chiles, all blend together perfectly. Mid-to-full bodied, savory, fruity, and long, with perfectly integrated tannin, it's difficult to find fault here. It closes the deal with a dash of spicy, red pepper flakes on the finish. An example of how good wine making begets good wine. (229 views)
Tasted by LoireFan on 6/6/2010 & rated 89 points: So stinky...not brett, not tca, but...! Still, it could be enjoyed, esp. if you turned your outer nose off. (1837 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
