Tasted by gbanks on 4/27/2015: Still a good weeknight wine, but I'd drink up sooner rather than later. What wine-strategies said. (130 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 6/14/2014: Nearly two years since the last bottle, and it's still hanging on, though it's definitely at the end of its run. Acids still fresh, fruit has faded, become softer, less vigorous; saline and chalk dominate the core of pear, apple and mineral driven fruit at this point. Good, but prolly better as a cooking wine. Drink up; solid producer. (2071 views)
Tasted by Androurse on 2/8/2014 & rated 88 points: The wine looks yellow colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like apple. It tastes like apple and orange blossom. The body is medium. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity. (1581 views)
Tasted by Androurse on 8/11/2013 & rated 86 points: The wine looks Light gold colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Apple, and Apple. It tastes like Grapefruit, and Grapefruit. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Medium. (2760 views)
Tasted by patsox on 7/5/2013: Exceptionally fresh, light, flavorful and compelling. (2995 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 9/30/2012: consistent tn's. Delicious, very fresh. Looking forward to purchasing again next year - by the case(s) (4883 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 9/29/2012: Very glad to have had this for my/our summer white this year. Consistently very good. Quality producer that lets the fruit and land speak for themselves. 11,5% abv, drink now (3757 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 9/7/2012: consistent with the 10+ prior bottles, which is to say lovely, classy and pure. An excellent expression of the variety and the growing region. highly recommended, 11,5% abv, drink now (3486 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 8/22/2012: consistent tn's. I'm so glad to have been able to make this my house white for Summer 2012; such a great balance of acids and fruit. A tension I will be looking for in other wines as the weather grows cooler, but the bar is high, and for such an affordable bottle, even better. Worked quite nicely with fennel, mushroom and chicken risotto sprinkled generously with peperoncino (flakes) (2739 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 7/24/2012 & rated 88 points: consistent tn's. My kind of winegrower. Soft, lightly spiced yellow apples, white peach, lemon oil and wet rocks on the nose. Light toward medium-bodied palate, soft yet lifted. Very femininely styled, medium finish, excellent example of the varietal (Jacquère) and growing region. highly recommended, 11,5% abv, drink now (2559 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 7/13/2012 & rated 89 points: consistent tn's. A little more apple than before, which seemed to add to the enjoyment given the subtle nature of this wine. Very fresh, completely enjoyable. 11,5% abv, recommended, drink now (1355 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 7/11/2012: consistent tn's. Half in the risotto dish, the other half enjoyed over 2 nights, both equally enjoyable. Fights well above its price point. My house white for the summer; I feel a 2nd case is in my (very near) future. 11.5% abv (1377 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 7/1/2012: With a new seafood (polpo, gamberi e capasante) risotto recipe I've been wanting to try out. It exceeded expectations, notwithstanding what I thought would have been an acid deficiency - I was afraid the textures would not show enough contrast. And, while they really didn't show the contrast I would have preferred, this was all overcome by the flavors, neat and clean. recommended, 11,5% abv (1419 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 6/29/2012: I can't recommend this enough, a terrific summer white with everything I want at this price and, perhaps more importantly, nothing I don't. 11,5% abv, drink thru 2012 (1383 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 6/28/2012: consistent tn's. Light straw color. Aromas of green tea, pears, white pepper, fresh cut red apples, very light spice. Nearly medium-bodied with generous acids lifting the light orchard and citric fruit. Modest almond notes on the back palate keep it even more interesting. Medium finish, clean, crisp. Very good food wine. recommended, 11,5% abv (1396 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 6/23/2012 & rated 88 points: Even better than last night's bottle. Pear, apple butter, light mineral notes, fresh cut hedges. Satisfying, fresh, medium finish and above-average purity. A terrific summer sipper that offers composure well beyond its price-point. Tart seashell and apple-pear on the mouthwatering finish.recommended, drink thru 2012, 11,5% abv (1332 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 6/22/2012: The first of a case and if this is representative of what's to come, I'm in for a nice ride. Lemons, red apples, green apples, stones and minerals. Slightly more orchard than citric. Nothing too serious, but drinks above its price-point. This is not a wine meant for ageing beyond its release year; as tasty as this is, I may have to pick up a second case to see me thru to Labor Day, it's that good. recommended, 11,5% abv (1329 views)
Tasted by Wine-Strategies on 5/25/2012 & rated 87 points: This and Sancerre Blanc will make up the majority of my summertime whites. My goal, to enjoy my last bottle or two on Labor Day weekend. Light, crisp, with distinct white peach, minerals, saline and white floral. Terrific QPR, recommended, 11,5% abv. If you like some fruit in your oak, this wine is not for you. Jacquère, where have you been all my life? (1319 views)
