Tasted by mtred on 12/2/2014 & rated 86 points: A fairly nice Cab for the $13 paid for it. Nice color and aroma, though the finish was not quite balanced and ended rather quickly. (3168 views)
Tasted by mtred on 11/13/2014 & rated 85 points: - Brick color and aromas of black currant and has flavours of black currant and strawberry jam - A nice dark purple color. Aroma has hints of fruit, though I found it non-distinct. Taste has flavors of strawberry jam and a hint of black currant; however, the finish is a bit sour. (3119 views)
Tasted by Wine Gombie on 6/23/2013 & rated 86 points: What to say but this is very opaque and purple in color.

Nose: Dark fruit, cassis, cherries maybe, some oak, with hints of eucalyptus, and a wee tad of chocolate.

Taste: Quite a dense and fulfilling drink. We got dark cherries, cassis, some smoke, and a little herbaciousness to the taste. It definitely shows off its tannic structure! Ya know there’s not a whole lot of middle to this. It’s up and down…..Wham bam thank you ma’am!

This is a good everyday wine, didn’t wow either of us, but good and enjoyable anyhoo. (5413 views)
Tasted by StageOneRacing on 5/28/2013 & rated 85 points: Decent, slight bitterness that faded with time. (5228 views)
 Tasted by rsct2001 on 5/12/2013 & rated 87 points: Enjoyable. (5517 views)
Tasted by Robwild on 4/17/2013 & rated 82 points: Fair. There are much better Cabs at this price point. (2362 views)
Tasted by Baron Slick on 3/28/2013 & rated 84 points: Full-bodied with jammy, juicy, and tart notes of blackberries, black currants, black plum, vanilla, spices, and a short, dry finish. (3259 views)
Tasted by jbcannizzo on 1/30/2013 & rated 83 points: kind of netural on this, thought it would be a good every day pour but it was thin, not offensive just kind of there (2782 views)
Tasted by prasm on 1/9/2013 & rated 88 points: From a Tasting Room 50ml bottle. Nose: Light expressiveness, black cherry, raspberry, and vanilla - nice but weak. Palate: Medium-full bodied, sweet and spicy dark fruit attack, menthol, smoke shows up mid-palate and builds in intensity thru back-end. Finish: Medium-plus length of smokiness with undertones of dark fruit. (2373 views)
Tasted by Jchi.ny on 12/20/2012 & rated 85 points: Decanted for about 30 min...Paired nicely with lamb chops...muted dark fruits on the nose...sour cherries and dark fruits on the attack and mid-palate...nice finish but too oaky for my taste. (2482 views)
Tasted by Popoplum on 10/10/2012 & rated 79 points: Very oaky. Too heavy for my taste. (2413 views)
Tasted by Jtperez on 8/4/2012 & rated 85 points: Tart berries initial taste...good with hummus and spicy roasted red pepper (2338 views)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.

Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet Sauvignon

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
