Tasted by tcarter on 5/1/2021 & rated 93 points: In an excellent spot right now. I'm not saying it will last a long time more, but it should still drinking beautifully for another year or two if your bottle was well-preserved. I paired it with soy-marinated hanger steak and it rocked. (1386 views)
Tasted by Wine301 on 3/27/2020 & rated 90 points: Big wine! Dark garnet, ruby edges. On the nose: medium+ intensity. Aroma of plum, dried cranberry, blueberry, blackberry bramble, sassafras, camphor, and hint of milk chocolate. On the palette, adds cherry and kirschwasser. Dry, med acidity, soft smooth tannins, full body. High alcohol. Nice long finish with huge cherry. Wish we had another bottle ..

Tasted by Marole on 12/23/2019 & rated 79 points: So over-the-top in every way. Rarely, but occasionally, I do enjoy a full-bodied wine with massive fruit but this, although having some quality core elements, is too much of the emperors new clothes or like Josh Brolin's attempt at Oldboy. Nah, pop a far too young vintage port any day rather than this. (1684 views)
Tasted by Altonplace on 11/21/2018 & rated 92 points: Absolutely delicious. A mouthful of smooth fruit with low tannins. Not much pepper in this vintage. Has a sense of purity of flavor, the taste equivalent of a primary color :) (2202 views)
Tasted by mcook_ky on 1/18/2018 & rated 90 points: Could use a couple more years in the cellar. Was great after decanting and with a steak (2855 views)
Tasted by absolut on 7/19/2017 & rated 91 points: Schöne, strukturierte Fruchtbombe. Kann die 16% recht gut wegstecken. Nicht zu warm trinken (2660 views)
Tasted by jakob.krummenacher@gmail.com on 6/17/2017 & rated 92 points: Powerful and bold. Rich with loads of dark very fruit. Intense. Drink now (2230 views)
Tasted by Mark Brandon on 4/11/2017 & rated 92 points: Huge, but total crowd pleaser AFTER our meal. (2047 views)
Tasted by THF49 on 4/10/2017 & rated 93 points: Absolutely gorgeous Aussie Shiraz: raspberry and plum fruit forward, minerality, full mouth velvety feel (1795 views)
Tasted by Altonplace on 9/28/2016 & rated 94 points: Highest rating I've given to a wine all year. Unbelievably heavy; leaves one wondering how Sparky brought this wonder forth from grapes. Powerful and sweet without being syrupy, this is pure syrah serum. Not hard imagining this will improve over the next year. (2275 views)
Tasted by Mads Eriksen on 7/9/2016 & rated 95 points: Lækker. Meget mørk i farven. Koncentreret uden at blive for meget.
(2047 views)
Tasted by Altonplace on 6/20/2016 & rated 92 points: Phenomenal fruit rich Shiraz balanced with pepper. Earliest I would recommend opening this vintage. Opened and let aerate a day in bottle, chilled. (2171 views)
Tasted by rmcnees on 3/4/2016 & rated 89 points: Weighing in at 16% alcohol, this is a bold wine that begs for big full flavorful foods such as sweet dessert or hearty cheese, not for the feint of heart, this can be an after dinner aperitif.

Some of the earlier vintages were more subdued by comparison presenting big forward polished balanced fruit bombs.

Dark inky purple ruby colored, thick tongue coating texture, massive full bodied ripe plum, black berry, black raspberry and blue berry fruits accented by a layer of clove spice, pepper, overshadowed by a flinty metal tone that I find unsettling but that the other's enjoy, which matches the fruit tones on the long tongue coating firm tannin finish.

Tasted by wconnolly on 3/4/2016 & rated 88 points: Rich, bright, dark fruit with notes of clove and flint. (2194 views)
Tasted by Echodog on 11/7/2015 & rated 90 points: Dark purple on the rim of glass, heavy spice and alcohol notes. Big bold dark fruit flavors. Didn't do the 'Molly Dooker shake' this time, but did decant for over an hour. Still needed a bit more time to open. Love the Dookers, this doesn't disappoint. Didn't pair as well with the baked lamb as I would have expected, oh well, the bottle flowed just as well. Enjoy. (2169 views)
Tasted by ralstenm on 10/13/2015 & rated 91 points: Big bold fruit! Dark velvet won't go away. Drank without food. (2072 views)
Tasted by bbcc66 on 10/6/2015 & rated 90 points: Nice BIG dark fruit tastes. (1976 views)
Tasted by wconnolly on 7/31/2015 & rated 89 points: A late night choice given friend Linda's preference for huge, fruit bomb red wines. This did not disappoint. Very full bodied with plum, blackberry, raspberry, clove and pepper very evident on the palate. Nothing subtle about this Shiraz from Sarah and Sparky Marquis. (1893 views)
Tasted by Mbressack on 7/9/2015 & rated 92 points: Dark fruit, purple with a big full flavor. Dark currents. Very Australian. (1943 views)
Tasted by soyhead on 7/3/2015: Meh (1720 views)
Tasted by Jnispel on 3/18/2015: Decanted several hours before tasting. Drank at cellar temp. Dark fruit and alcohol on the nose. Almost opaque purple with long legs. I have been a MD fan over the years, but it seems their wine is just too big for my taste anymore. This wine seemed like mostly a big, hot mess to me. Even after a two plus hour decant and lots of swirling the alcohol just dominated this wine from start to finish. (1921 views)
Tasted by Purple Tooth on 1/3/2015 & rated 90 points: Less jammy and fruit filled than some of the other notes suggested. I felt this wine was slightly on the other side of its potential curve...I think I waited too long to dig into this bottle. But, all in all, I can't help to think that if you crave fruit bomb shiraz wines, go for them while they are 2 or 3 years old and there is no need to spend a allot of money. (2385 views)
Tasted by tlangle on 12/9/2014 & rated 94 points: velvety smooth, drink now (2134 views)
Tasted by ed-d on 11/26/2014 & rated 80 points: So concentrated, so alcoholic I couldn't drink it. This is more of a cocktail than a wine to be consumed with dinner. Even my massive rib-eye steak couldn't tame this beast. (2536 views)
Tasted by JDV.DDSPHD on 11/5/2014 & rated 90 points: Okay this is a fruit bomb. Massive fruit bomb. I was just not feeling something this massive & sweet. Still a good wine but be prepared for an explosion of flavor. Very over the top. This could cellar for two decades. (2273 views)
