| Community Tasting Notes (average 88.5 pts. and median of 88 pts. in 11 notes) - hiding notes with no text | | Tasted by ecola on 7/11/2013 & rated 88 points: Big upfront grapefruit and fresh cut grass. Moderate acidity on the medium body. Finish drops off a little quick. Solid example of NZ SB. (2297 views) | | Tasted by Mike Kopanski on 5/24/2013 & rated 88 points: This is delightful. Only from New Zealand, and especially Marlborough, do we get this depth and character from a Sauvignon Blanc. Do doubt about the crispness of the malic acid with the almost perfect not over ripeness. Light golden color. Herbal, moderately grassy nose with just a hint of "eau de gato". Intense, slightly green, entry of grapefruit, kiwi, orange, tangerine and apricot. Medium bodied. Crisp malic acid almost overshadows everything else. Typical New Zealand Sauvignon finish dominated by young acid at first, but give it a chance and you get fresh squeezed lime in a super pure way. (2187 views) | | Tasted by BBinSC on 5/11/2013 & rated 87 points: Nice, simple, crisp SB; it has some of the grassy notes you expect from Marlborough, but is not overly aggressive. Tasty aperitif. There are much better out there, but not at $7.99. (2292 views) |
