Tasted by cmaldoon on 1/3/2013 & rated 88 points: The oldest Shiraz I have tried.

The balance between fruit and bottle character was great. Served after an hour open there was a cherry raspberry fruit flavor backed by bottle spice and smokiness. After an additional hour the wine seemed to be a bit peaked and took on some acid is oxidative character.

I recommend drinking up and do this as a pop and pour waiting only long enough for the bottle funk to blow off. (1081 views)
