Tasted by El Exquisito on 2/27/2024: Espectacular lo tomamos en la Cantina Argentina en blind taste y Coqui y Sara no lo identificaron nada (95 views)
Tasted by Pipes&Pips on 12/12/2022 & rated 88 points: Paid $10. Punches at $30+. Deep dark color. Dark fruits, balance, medium finish. Will try to find more. (622 views)
Tasted by CheviotCellar on 2/18/2022 & rated 92 points: Opened after a corked 2008 Termes and was very pleasantly surprised by the 2010. It's in a perfect drinking window. Body color is black as night. Nose has sweet blackberry, dark plum, cassis. Palate is grippy, juicy, and savory with dark berries, cassis, plum, charred oak, tannins, and slight dill and mint. Very satisfying with or without a meal. 92-93 points. (1136 views)
Tasted by Otis Wine Lover on 1/23/2022 & rated 92 points: Really a rich, luscious wine. Deep red color, aromas of dark red and black fruit, light touch of earthiness and minerality. On the palate, an initial sensation of spice, followed by the silkiest, smoothest, velvety texture and intense dark fruit (black currant, damson plum, blackberry, black raspberry, cranberry). Followed by a medium-long finish of muted fruit with a touch of wood, minerality, and earthiness, with smooth, silky tannins. Last bottle in my cellar, but more of another vintage. (1213 views)
Tasted by CosmicDude on 12/10/2021 & rated 91 points: Aging well. Great in the glass -- deep red, legs. A little bitter on the first taste, but very approachable. (1269 views)
Tasted by bootaylor76 on 11/25/2021: Huge fan of termes and the others who drank it really liked it. Drinking beautifully and happy we drank it when we did as time was a coming. Wish I had more as great value from Spain.

Tasted by dkwins on 8/27/2021 & rated 90 points: Last bottle and all enjoyable, but not a complex wine. Rich and fruit forward. (991 views)
Tasted by dkwins on 7/9/2021 & rated 91 points: Rich and pleasing, as always. (784 views)
Tasted by Kentw on 9/10/2020 & rated 87 points: Not quite what I expected for the 2010 vintage and the reviews. I found it rough, not quite ready even after 10 years, and good aeration and decant. Intense, brambly, mid-level acidity, with a medium tannic finish. Numathia Toros tend to need lots of time before they smooth out. Let's see what day 2 brings plus it may need another 2-3 years cellared before becoming more balanced. On the other hand, it may have been an odd bottle. Have a couple more to figure it out. (1046 views)
Tasted by dkwins on 8/28/2020 & rated 90 points: Very powerful, but still pleasing (1014 views)
Tasted by dalemosier on 7/2/2020 & rated 92 points: color almost black - 30% carignan must add to color. Deep rich flavor - musty elderberry - nice finish (1053 views)
Tasted by agsdlswine on 3/30/2020 & rated 92 points: Excellent flavorful well made wine. Drinking perfectly now still very fruit forward. (1151 views)
Tasted by dkwins on 1/17/2020 & rated 91 points: Rich dark berries, smooth finish. Excellent value. (1229 views)
Tasted by dkwins on 8/13/2019 & rated 91 points: Robust with dark big fruit. Good but a bit harsh. (1198 views)
Tasted by Viking 61 on 8/7/2019 & rated 92 points: Opened for about an hour and continued to evolve after as consumed. Great QPR for an amazing wine that starts somewhat fruit forward black cherry and transforms to a more dry and small slight tannins with a berry good smooth mature and harmonized fruit sprinkled with hints of cinnamon and dark chocolate dust. (1243 views)
Tasted by Beachmama929 on 12/3/2018 & rated 93 points: Want to buy again. Smooth with just the right ant of tannins (1537 views)
Tasted by charlieteena on 11/9/2018: Best bottle to date. (1378 views)
Tasted by dkwins on 8/23/2018 & rated 90 points: This was a good wine for outdoor festival. As in my last note, it is just a little harsh on the finish, but otherwise nice robust burst of fruit (1472 views)
Tasted by RPerro on 2/14/2018 & rated 90 points: Decanted 1 hour. This put on some serious weight as it got more air. Tannins built hour over hour. Great fruit, nicely structured but grew with air, good acid. Flavors of blackberry pie with vanilla ice cream. Drink now - 2025. (1824 views)
Tasted by CosmicDude on 8/26/2017 & rated 91 points: Full bodied winner. Great value for money. (2403 views)
Tasted by dkwins on 6/24/2017 & rated 90 points: I didn't like as much as prior notes, as a bit harsh. Definitely has more complexity than most in this price range and an interesting richer, full bodied wine. (2282 views)
Tasted by Night Train on 3/26/2017 & rated 92 points: A stunning value. Opened and poured about 90 minutes before drinking. Assertive nose - berries, coffee, and all kinds of spices. Quite rich, with ginormous flavors, which delivered a very good finish. Various berries, a little coffee, and a boatload of cinnamon and miscellaneous middle eastern spices. There are a bunch of good wines out there for $20 to $30, but none of them can match the spiciness and complexity of this one. (2531 views)
Tasted by Raja on 12/29/2016 & rated 90 points: Great Spanish name. Always consistent. (2538 views)
Tasted by CosmicDude on 12/11/2016 & rated 91 points: Deep red in the glass with nice "legs". Rich berries, blackcurrent and milk chocolate nose and taste. Smooth finish. Great value for money.

Only complaint was cork was very dry and top half broke up when pulled. (2215 views)
Tasted by Cabernetking on 12/11/2016 & rated 91 points: Drank beautifully on day 2 after a very hot, tight start on day 1. I actually took it over to my in-laws planing to spend most of my time on father in laws standard favorite Girgich Hills Estate cab, I actually preferred the day #2 Termes. (1787 views)

Wine Map on weinlagen-info

Spain is the third largest wine producing nation in the world, occupying the majority of the Iberian Peninsula with vast diversity in climate, culture, and of course, wine. From inky, dark reds of the [Priorat] to dry, white Finos from Andalusia, Spain can easily boast of elaborating a wide variety of notable styles. Within Spain there are currently 62 demarcated wine regions, of which a handful have gained international recognition: [Rioja], Priorat and [Ribera del Duero]. Yet these regions are only a small sample of the high quality wines Spain produces. Regions such as Cava, Penedes, Somontano, Galicia, Rueda and Jerez are only a few of the numerous regions worthy of exploration throughout Spain. Spain can also lay claim to having the most land under vine in the world, growing up to, by some accounts, 600 indigenous varietals of which Tempranillo is their most well known. Other popular varietals include [Garnacha], Bobal and Monastrell for reds and for whites; the infamous [sic] Palomino Fino grape which is used in the production of sherry wine, Pedro Ximenez in Montilla Morilles, Albarino used in the creation of the bright, effervescent wines of Galicia, and Verdejo in Rueda. - Source: - Catavino.net

Spain is not in the forefront of winemaking for its dessert wines, other than for its sweet wines from Sherry country including the highly revered Olorosos (when sweetened). But apart from Sherry Spain has a range of styles of dessert wines, ranging from the those made from the Pedro Ximenez grape primarily in Jerez and Montilla-Moriles) to luscious, red dessert wines made in the Mediterranean from the Garnacha (Grenache) grape. Some good Moscatels are made in Mallorca, Alicante and Navarre. The northwest corner of Spain, Galicia, with its bitter Atlantic climate, is even making dessert wines, called “Tostadillos” in the village of Ribadivia (similar to France’s “Vin de Paille”). The Canary Islands have made interesting dessert wines for centuries (they are mentioned by Shakespeare, for example) and in recent years the quality of winemaking has been improved and the Canary Islands wines are being better marketed now. The winemaking styles for “Vinos Dulces” are also diverse, from “Late Harvest” (Vendimia Tardía) to “Fortified Wines” (Fermentación Parcial). Based on in-spain.info.
