| ||Tasted by Brett and Megan on 11/4/2013 & rated 89 points: color is inky, almost black; aroma - butter and toffee, slate, stone, something green (is subtle, but nice high note), eucalyptus; taste - fruit isn't long finish, but tannins are, little eraser, slate, big and chewy, not jammie but some dried prunes; a mild, somewhat weird taste on finish, but not in a bad way (853 views)|
| ||Tasted by Patrick - winereviewer.com.au on 10/26/2013 & rated 93 points: The Lady's Lane is an impressive release even before you taste the wine, it is sealed with wax along with a shapely burgundy bottle and striking label, if you drink with your eyes then your in for a treat.|
The wine is an inky dark red to purple in colour, the nose is packed with dark plum, savoury raspberry and violets.
The wine has concentration in spades with dense dark fruits that are at one with savoury and structural tannins, an undercurrent of pepper and undergrowth adds interest.
The finish has considerable drive and lingers with spiced plum.
It will be interesting to see how this wine will age, it is around the 15.5 % mark, but doesn't show it, and has enough structure to flourish over the medium to long term.
