Tasted by dmitchell4 on 12/30/2020 & rated 89 points: Beyond peak but still remarkably viable with food. (204 views)
Tasted by drrobvino on 2/27/2018 & rated 87 points: This wine had some redeeming qualities, but was slightly OTH, showing signs of oxidation. (997 views)
Tasted by John Nezlek on 10/8/2017 & rated 87 points: Note: I use a rating scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.

Although I enjoyed this bottle, it did not wow me as it seems to have done for others. (1082 views)
Tasted by wayfarer on 10/7/2017 & rated 89 points: Drank over several nights. Quite good. Rich aged citrus, dry with light bit of sweetness in the rich body. Bit of herb and wool. Moderate long finish. I think it is not quite as compelling as last bottle but still quite enjoyable. (997 views)
Tasted by jstarnes on 12/10/2016 & rated 90 points: This wine keeps getting better. (2102 views)
Tasted by 2caveman on 12/3/2016 & rated 91 points: This wine continues to impress as a Garagiste favorite-- dry, complex, good typicity, super long finish. And outstanding value (1484 views)
Tasted by drdebs on 8/16/2016 & rated 90 points: Best yet. Aging beautifully. Soft yet fresh tasting. (1386 views)
Tasted by 2caveman on 2/20/2016 & rated 91 points: This wine is in such a good place right now. Still fresh with terrific acidic spine. Complex and alluring nose. Hint of RS on the palate. Must be among the best $18 whites in my cellar. Excellent! (1523 views)
Tasted by drdebs on 9/9/2015 & rated 89 points: Consistent with last nite. Bright gold in he glass but still fresh tasting. (1919 views)
Tasted by Sennma on 9/3/2015 & rated 88 points: Great value here. Wonderful texture in the mouth with that nice apple character that you get from Chenin. (1696 views)
Tasted by Richard123 on 6/29/2015 & rated 90 points: Excellent wine, no vegetal aromas, perfectly delicious. (1433 views)
Tasted by aquavitae on 5/29/2015 & rated 75 points: Strong vegetal tones overwhelm other elements pea shoots are a reasonable descriptor . Dry with reasonable acidity but rather one dimensional (1469 views)
Tasted by andtheodor on 4/25/2015 flawed bottle: Bizarre nose of fresh pea shoots. Sweetly green and simple. SOmething's messed up but I don't know what it is. (1560 views)
Tasted by lvjohn on 2/23/2015 & rated 90 points: Considerably better tasting than previous bottles. There's more citrus and a tad more sweetness coming through. Still on the dry side, but quite enjoyable. (1093 views)
Tasted by drrobvino on 2/18/2015 & rated 90 points: tasy Chenin. Full of minerals and rocks on the spicy finish. Drink through 2016+. (1031 views)
Tasted by rhit on 10/22/2014: Somewhat off-putting note of dirty green peas after opening. Thankfully, that was gone by the second night - it was rounded and decent enough to drink, if a bit inexpressive. (1315 views)
Tasted by Easter Everywhere on 9/1/2014: superb, big, rich (478 views)
Tasted by drrobvino on 7/15/2014 & rated 91 points: On the nose, honey, red apple, lychee, an underlying hint of turpentine spice, and dirty minerals.
The palate shows off a med+ bodied wine, med+ alcohol, velvety mouthfeel, quite rich on the palate, seems like there is residual sugar/honey, but it is just the lychee/apple extract talking. There is great spiciness in every sip, with a med+ finish, and distinct minerality. The fruit is rich and deep, but there is ample med acidity to keep it balanced and interesting.
This is a very nice wine, could work with rich or heavy dishes based on its body. Drink now through 2018 or so. Quite nice. Superb value. (1496 views)
Tasted by lvjohn on 7/11/2014 & rated 88 points: Very dry style that takes a lot of getting used to. After 2 hours it finally started to show some very nice fruit. Next bottle I will decant and let rest for a while. (1087 views)
Tasted by lvjohn on 6/11/2014 & rated 89 points: Still not sure if I like this wine or tolerate it because of its proximity to the really fine Vouvray we've enjoyed over the years. (1083 views)
Tasted by lvjohn on 5/24/2014 & rated 88 points: Quite dry and light, even thin tasting. Nice pale yellow color. An ok wine for the price. (859 views)
Tasted by wayfarer on 5/24/2014 & rated 90 points: Drank over three nights. Quite nice across the nights. Initial impression was moderate nose of apple, a bit of citrus, maybe some yellow fruit as mentioned by other reviewers, with floral hints, strong mineral & acid, tart & sweet. Rich, full bodied mineral core coming through clearly over time. Sweetness diminished, ultimately making it different & to my taste better balance. Moderate to long finish. (1008 views)
Tasted by ddisler on 5/3/2014 & rated 91 points: Color is pale straw, darker than a pouilly fume but lighter than a chardonnay. Mild nose with hints of slate and honeysuckle. Initial flavor reminds me of an Alsace riesling with only slight acidity but a great minerality and good blend of white apple and possibly mango? Great integration of mild white fruits with limited acidity and a good long, complex finish. This is a smooth wine and really doesn't need any more age. (814 views)
Tasted by Firefly78 on 3/21/2014 & rated 91 points: Different from my last bottle - minerality is still there, but has given way to a riper fruit character. Closer to a Vouvray at this point, this is drinking beautifully now. Still cannot believe the QPR! (1700 views)
Tasted by Richard123 on 2/13/2014 & rated 90 points: Great wine, other reviews give a good account of it. I found it was much more interesting when slightly warmer; don't put it in an ice bucket... (1469 views)
