Tasted by FLXHoneymoon on 10/29/2016: Melon and Papaya. Probably past its drink date but still good acidity and refreshing. (425 views)
Tasted by Champagneinhand on 5/29/2016 & rated 88 points: Way better than at winery tasting. While mineral has gone down sweetness, fruit and acids are just right. Nice. (680 views)
Tasted by Champagneinhand on 1/18/2015 & rated 85 points: While definitely a food wine, this was enjoyable but had a reticent nose, with a bit of mineral and as said on the prior note a touch of cleaner with evergreen popping into mind. This isn't complete vinifera Muscat, but a blend of Muscat Ottonel, and Melon Muscat. That melon muscat comes out on the palate of green melon and papaya, but without the sweetness of papaya. Minerals and some acid show up to make this a good choice for NE seafare, but I much prefer more french Muscat, that seems to have more structure even with the same low price. This did not strike me as Alsace as the other wines. I bought a bottle to see how it cooked up with oysters. Pretty mundane, but I am looking at some replanting with Muscat vines. I need to think this over. (879 views)
Tasted by MC2 Wines on 8/15/2013 & rated 85 points: Simple, basic muscat. Grapefruit on the nose with a slight whiff of something that smells like Pine Sol. On the fuller bodied side, and yet the flavors are more citrusy than anything else. Touch of acidity and just a hint of sweetness on the palate. Paired with pizza and I don't think the wine helped the food or vice versa. Prefer the Heron Hill Riesling or the Casa Large Muscat at this price point I think. (867 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.
