Tasted by PJHaveron on 11/29/2009 & rated 88 points: Sneaky good wine - nothing outrageous but a very balanced wine - good full wine with nice spice notes (189 views)
Tasted by parathesis on 11/17/2008 & rated 87 points: Ok bottle. (1547 views)
Tasted by jctaylor on 11/12/2008 & rated 89 points: Tannins were more fully integrated than previous bottles, smoother and easier drinking with enough stuffing to last until the third night. (1564 views)
Tasted by bigdogflow on 9/6/2008 & rated 91 points: Decanted for 1 hour. Very deep, dark red color. Ripe berry on the nose. Tremendous taste and nice finish. A great wine! (1589 views)
Tasted by fjv3 on 4/5/2008 & rated 84 points: Very funky upon opening. Nearly concluded it was a bad bottle due to overwhelmingly tart cherries on the nose. Had it not been for the synthetic cork, it would have been written off. Instead, I let the bottle breath for a good hour. Everything started coming back into better balance. Pretty mellow tannins right now. Still a little acidity to give it punch. Even more enjoyable the second day. Window is closing though. (1897 views)
Tasted by curtispomeroy on 3/8/2008 & rated 89 points: Very enjoyable wine. Served with turkey sloppy joes and paired perfectly. Very smooth and no alcohol. (1838 views)
Tasted by parathesis on 1/21/2008 & rated 89 points: same as the last one (1458 views)
Tasted by parathesis on 1/16/2008 & rated 89 points: I haven't tasted this in almost a year. This has improved a lot and now gets a good QPR like I planned when I bought it. Time to drink. (1477 views)
Tasted by LACERS on 7/19/2007 & rated 91 points: A Wow! wine. This was good. Lots of Brambly dark fruits, smooth, good body to it, long lingering finish. No Alcohol burn at all. Perfect ripeness, right on the edge, with lots of raspberries, blackberries, blueberries with a nice touch of Starbucks Java Chip Frappaccino, with some added spice and pepper notes. I thought the 06 Buehler Zin barrel tasting last month had the potential to be their best Zin, but this one has really gotten good with time. If any stores has this in stock, get it, its probably around $15 and tastes like a $30+ Zin. Went perfect with a Grilled Southwest style (crushed jalapeno, chili and red bell peppers) spare ribs without spices lighting up the wine. Thanks to John Buehler for getting me this library wine. He is the nicest winery owner around! Saved it for special occasion with my girl friend since she is having serious surgery next week. (1999 views)
Tasted by jctaylor on 7/16/2007 & rated 88 points: Nice and plummy, easy drinking. Some alcoholic bite upon opening which smoothed out nicely the second night. (1734 views)
Tasted by GolferChris on 6/12/2007 & rated 90 points: Very good Zin for the price. Lots of black fruit, spice, bittersweet chocolate, and a hint of earth. Layered, with good depth and complexity, and a long, persistent juicy fruit finish. Good to the last drop. (1790 views)
Tasted by parathesis on 2/13/2007 & rated 87 points: ho hum. Not a great bottle but it was inexpensive. Needs time to air. Was better the second night. (1993 views)
Tasted by paddycook on 2/5/2007 & rated 88 points: Delicious. Very fruity and not too hot or alcoholic. Terrific value. (1979 views)
Tasted by jctaylor on 10/21/2006 & rated 86 points: Not much nose to speak of. The fruit on the palate was quite subdued with tart tannins that need to integrate more. An alcoholic finish. (2301 views)
Tasted by Kirk Grant on 6/25/2006 & rated 89 points: A beautiful plum purple in the glass with a strong nose of cedar, black berries, and alcohol. In the moth flavors of spice, blackberries, and plum lead to a light hint of vanilla as the finish smooths out and rolls across the palate. A good wine...but the alcohol is very prominent. If you are not a fan of "big & Bold" this may not be your cup of tea... (1431 views)
Tasted by GreenDrazi on 6/16/2006 & rated 89 points: Decanted ½ hr. Black and blueberry nose followed by a good dollop of lush blackberry flavors with some plum and a faint hint of black pepper & spice. Starts a bit shiny, leading to a nice round and smooth texture, but feels a bit thin towards the back of the palate followed by a reasonable, but diminishing finish. Synthetic cork - drink now. (2686 views)
Tasted by Anonymous on 5/20/2006 & rated 90 points: 'Drinker'. Great balance, Buehler never seems to fail. Good low priced drinker. (2813 views)
Tasted by Deryl on 4/15/2006 & rated 88 points: Not real good last night. Will try again tonight and see if it mellows out.
Left standing open all night. Second night MUCH better. It may be my palate, as the wine this followed last night was near classic. But at this point I would say that this is a great QPR for regular drinking. (2701 views)
Tasted by areid on 3/23/2006 & rated 90 points: A very, very pleasant wine. Plenty of dark fruit, some chocolate. Me want more! (3201 views)
Tasted by Steam67 on 2/24/2006: Clear light ruby color with cherry and bright red fruit on the nose, strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, and cherry with good acidic bite. Overall well balanced. (2800 views)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
