Silky tannins with a polished body and medium length finish, if you like savory wine this will be up your alley. We opened this last bottle, and ran into smell of dill pickles (something new to us). The aroma carried through to the palate.
Googled the phenomenon, and it appears we ran into VA (Volatile Acidity) - whatever that is.

Clear ruby, substantial but inviting.
Lovely nose - layers of aroma (nutty, dried herb, mushroom).
