Tasted by Richard Jennings on 4/21/2007 & rated 82 points: Dark cherry red color; cherry, roasted fruit and smoke nose; sweet black fruit, cherry with no mid-palate; cliff finish (820 views)
Tasted by vpoms on 4/10/2007 & rated 86 points: Just ok (1648 views)
Tasted by pepper on 10/27/2006 & rated 85 points: A little better than the reviews I've read would suggest. Spicy, more tart than sweet, maybe the fruit was not quite ripe enough. I find it enjoyable anyway. (1825 views)
Tasted by hutch on 2/8/2006 & rated 81 points: Oh gosh, I love his marketing. But some of these wines are so damn blah! I forget what ring of wine hell it is, but this wine belongs to it. You know, where all those innocous wines fo no redeeming value, either positive or negative go. There is really nothing of interest to this wine, and it actually tastes a bit generic. I find the France version far superior. Worst of all, with the exception of the Big house series, Doon's wines prices have reached the point where more should be expected. What a disapointment.  Tasted by umazz on 12/18/2005 & rated 85 points: spicy, Rhone style. (1163 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
