Tasted by ctjared on 11/25/2011: not bad pop and pour, but quite simple after some air (2207 views)
Tasted by *Vine* on 2/1/2011: Popped and poured. Medium-plus dirty ruby. Blackberry, currant, tobacco leaf, and earth on the nose. Medium-plus body, with nice concentration. On the palate, this modern Bordeaux juxtaposes modern fruit with hints of old world terrior, much as the nose would indicate and while the fruit may perhaps be a touch overt, the notes of cigar box and earth ensure there's no mistaking where this wine originated from. Still possesses a solid, somewhat chunky tannins on the moderate close. Should be drinking wonderfully with another 1-3 years of bottle age but quite nice right now. (2739 views)
Tasted by DoubleMagnum on 10/30/2009: Too many wines to taste this time. I could not appreciate it as much. (2863 views)
Tasted by djlaporte on 7/22/2009 & rated 85 points: Abundant with the classic subtleties of a French wine, as this bottle is more about the winemaker's style and the location of the the vineyard than about the varietal. Nicely balanced tannins. Detected an enyoyable earthy essence with hints of tobacco. (3194 views)
Tasted by DoubleMagnum on 4/22/2009 & rated 89 points: Full Bordeaux. Lots of terroir. This is what is great about French wine. It's not over-extracted or uberly-concentrated. It's very well balanced. The usual black currant notes and the oak is in check. Great bottle $5 bucks cheaper and it would be an amazing buy. (3064 views)
Tasted by bin905 on 3/28/2009 & rated 89 points: Deep ruby red color. Bing cherry, cinnamon, and toasted oak scent. Medium body, well-balanced, currant and green tea taste with ample tannins. (1748 views)
Tasted by Beavis77 on 2/8/2009: Big nose of red and black fruit. Almost a sweet note to the fruit.
Almost sweet berry flavors in the mouth. Nice spicy tannins with blackberry notes. Really peppery finish.
This had been open for two days, and it was drinking really, really well. Not a hint of oxidation. (1849 views)
Tasted by joshwoodward on 1/1/2009 & rated 85 points: Pencil shavings! Medium body, tannic, balanced acid. $21 (1763 views)
Tasted by *Vine* on 12/26/2008 & rated 87 points: Popped and poured. Dark purple hue. Initially restrained, the nose only started to show after 30 minutes in glass; featuring earth, black cherry, and just a hint of tobacco leaf. Medium-plus body, with nice concentration. Flavors on the palate are also somewhat muted and mirror the nose, with just a touch of fruit showing through the tannins. This needs further time in bottle before exploring again. (1909 views)
Tasted by LOML2008 on 11/14/2008 & rated 90 points: definitely a blended wine, nose a little musty, not too light - overall very good Bordeax (1811 views)
Tasted by Beavis77 on 11/7/2008: Deep purple color in the glass. Big warm spices and dark berries on the nose. Hints of cedar and some herbal notes. Big powerful tannins that are well integrated. Drinking well now, but still can go awhile yet. Nice warm cherry. Pure berry juice notes. (1861 views)
Tasted by dv002i on 4/22/2008 & rated 85 points: Smoky, leathery, tobacco aromas with vanilla and a light hint of violet. Tight and alcoholic on the palate. Offers very little to the wine drinker right now, just a hint of earthiness. Stay away for at least a few year or give it two days in the decanter. 83-86 pts. Wine tasting @ WineSense. (1782 views)
Tasted by jimkay21 on 2/25/2008 & rated 87 points: From memory: Light fruit, prominent acidity, short finish. A $12 wine for $20. (2025 views)
