 Tasted by *Vine* on 2/1/2011: Popped and poured. Medium-plus dirty ruby. Blackberry, currant, tobacco leaf, and earth on the nose. Medium-plus body, with nice concentration. On the palate, this modern Bordeaux juxtaposes modern fruit with hints of old world terrior, much as the nose would indicate and while the fruit may perhaps be a touch overt, the notes of cigar box and earth ensure there's no mistaking where this wine originated from. Still possesses a solid, somewhat chunky tannins on the moderate close. Should be drinking wonderfully with another 1-3 years of bottle age but quite nice right now. (2739 views)

It's very well balanced. The usual black currant notes and the oak is in check. Great bottle $5 bucks cheaper and it would be an amazing buy. (3064 views)

Almost sweet berry flavors in the mouth. Nice spicy tannins with blackberry notes. Really peppery finish.

Initially restrained, the nose only started to show after 30 minutes in glass; featuring earth, black cherry, and just a hint of tobacco leaf. Medium-plus body, with nice concentration. Flavors on the palate are also somewhat muted and mirror the nose, with just a touch of fruit showing through the tannins. This needs further time in bottle before exploring again. (1909 views)
