Great colour, great nose. Plenty of apple, some light toast notes, a drizzle of honey and some smoky mineral. It had the perfect amount of fruit sweetness, countered by balancing acidity. It was intense, complex and had a suggestion of exotic fruit. The finish was fresh and invigorating, inviting another sip. Sweet up front on the palate but there is an excellent savoury finish to it. Lip-smacking acidity continues throughout. So fresh and pure with some exotic fruit notes, a little preserved lime and so much mineral. It has residual sugar but somehow the wine is able to brush it aside and deliver so much clarity and detail to the palate. The finish is precise and length is fabulous.
