Tasted by elledeca on 2/22/2015: Look quite brown, nose of animal, leather. Blast of liquorice in the mouth, then long finish on red fruit and bitter herbs. (156 views)
Tasted by Harley1199 on 2/23/2013: Deep garnet, almost brownish colour. Aeration is required.
A perfume for my nose. Can be sniffing for hours finding new aromas. Among many others: sandalwood, stew meat, blackberries, game, artichokes . In many aspects, a very Rioja-like, a very Graciano bottle with that oxidised style.
Elegant, delicate even. Lovely acidity. Never alcoholic. Some sediments. Can't deny this is a wine of class and distinction.

(1267 views)
Tasted by TiggerK on 1/8/2012 flawed bottle: Past it, oxidised. Duh. (1775 views)
Tasted by Milos on 12/3/2009 & rated 92 points: Strawberry fields nose with nice barnyard complexity; smooth palate; fine ripe tannins well integrated. Good acidity and balance. Good finish. Surprisingly the star of the night among six Australian 1999s. (2193 views)
Tasted by Milos on 9/12/2009 & rated 89 points: Forward nose of dark cherry liqueur. Less complexity but more advanced age that the bottle I had two months ago. Tannins well integrated. Good acidity and length. (2243 views)
Tasted by Milos on 7/7/2009 & rated 91 points: Forward nose of dark cherry liqueur, oak and touch of ripe strawberry. Tannins still dominate the palate; very structured wine, almost heavy. There is some mineral complexity too. Good acidity and length. Drank over three days and it kept getting better. I would give this one another 2 to 3 years and try again. (2259 views)
Tasted by SteveT on 7/24/2005 & rated 92 points: Very nice nose of red fruit & a touch of barnyard; Very smooth on the palate with good acidity to balance. Not at all heavy. (2331 views)
Tasted by tanth on 11/27/2004 & rated 93 points: Very forward and open, intoxicating nose of black and red cherry, very much like a top Burgundy.Intense palate of very ripe fruit, good balance and a long sweetish finish. (2750 views)
