Tasted by richardhod on 9/13/2012 & rated 88 points: Good Zin of the extracted syle. (1585 views)
Tasted by Florida on 3/6/2010 & rated 89 points: Loads of jammy fruit, primarily cherries and blackberries, with some strawberry sweetness on the end. Moderate tannins. Not quite a fruit bomb, but certainly heading in that direction. Very drinkable now and while I am positive this one still has at least a few years left it it, I'm not sure cellaring this wine will improve it much. (1788 views)
Tasted by cmkjbs on 11/28/2009 & rated 88 points: Startlingly intense nose -- I could smell my glass from two arms lengths away. Raisin and raspberry jam up front. A few sips revealed dark chocolate covered cherries and a hint of white pepper. This wine is quite tight, biting tannins and some heat, though not enough to throw it off balance. I don't mind young wines but in a few years, this could be even better. Off to seek out a few more bottles for the cellar. (2019 views)
Tasted by fulkerb on 11/22/2009 & rated 90 points: Jammy, big and fun. Everything good about California Zin. My taste may not apply to others... (1969 views)
Tasted by bigdogflow on 9/12/2008 & rated 87 points: Popped and poured. Decent wine, nothing special. (2289 views)
Tasted by MattyMatt on 4/7/2008 & rated 90 points: Still a rockin jammy zin!! (1102 views)
Tasted by robnmo on 3/12/2008 & rated 85 points: Dark fruit on the nose, followed by jammy spicy dark fruit, and chocolate, on the pallate. The wine is held, in check and the alcohol is well integrated, even though I thought the label said 14.9%. Would have rated higher, but this was a bit too extracted, and jammy for my tastes. Otherwise a nicely made wine. (1478 views)
Tasted by MattyMatt on 2/3/2008 & rated 91 points: Just a rockin' zin. Dark and jammy with cherries and loads of fruit. YUM!! (1085 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
