Community Tasting Notes (average 88.3 pts. and median of 88 pts. in 4 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by Skully on 1/4/2009 & rated 89 points: I've always been a fan of Writer's Block as they have great wine for the money and this was one doesn't disappoint either. With a nose of spice, pepper and bright fruit this one's a drinker now. Nice finish with a slight bite that unfortunately tapers off much too quickly. (859 views)
Tasted by wbaccus on 12/23/2008 & rated 88 points: A solid zinfandel. Not a fruit bomb, but good flavor. Would buy this again. (846 views)
Tasted by Skully on 11/11/2008 & rated 88 points: Very nice fruity nose with a blend of soft tannins and fruit. This baby is ready to drink now!
Very nice wine for the bucks for an everyday drinker. (866 views)

California

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.

North Coast

The North Coast American Viticultural Area (AVA) in California, covering more than three million acres, includes Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties, and portions of Marin and Solano counties. (see The Wine Institute for more information)
