Tasted by prism on 7/14/2015 & rated 90 points: Dark purple, full body. Still a bit of wood; tannins well integrated. Tasty but a little short of delicious. A hearty Napa cab, without evoking many superlatives. This bottle (cellared since release) was in good shape: I would drink these within a year or so, as I don't see the wine improving from here, but it could maybe go another two years. (122 views)
Tasted by Randito on 5/10/2015 flawed bottle: Bought last week along with a 2007 bottle of Hidden Ridge, unfortunately both bottles flawed. Store did not take care of their bottles, not returning again. (819 views)
Tasted by Wine Lover 1964 on 8/3/2014 & rated 89 points: similar notes as 2007...not much tannins left. I think I'd prefer these Honig wines younger at maybe the 5yr max mark. This one just feels like it's past it's peak. Not much fruit and kinda flat. (1765 views)
Tasted by Wine Lover 1964 on 4/26/2014 & rated 92 points: drank after 2009 anthology blend and Napa cab from Honig really stood out. Nice Napa flavor and drinking very well now. (2152 views)
Tasted by StageOneRacing on 3/23/2014 & rated 90 points: Drinking beautifully, light orange rim fading into garnet. Still has flavors of dark fruit, cedar and a nice long finish. (2350 views)
Tasted by Wine Lover 1964 on 3/13/2014 & rated 90 points: similar notes as before (2329 views)
Tasted by Wine Lover 1964 on 12/31/2013 & rated 91 points: very dark purple color and very thick. decanted 30minutes and drank over 2hrs. still holding up well and balanced. excellent on its own but may not still hold up with a big steak. very nice wine with still maybe 2yrs good life left. (2629 views)
Tasted by tcufletch on 7/2/2013: Very enjoyable Napa Cab that met my expectations; dark fruit, leather, dust, rounded tannins which are still firm and should allow the wine to continue to age. Drank from 375. (2869 views)
Tasted by JohnOnWine on 5/23/2013 & rated 88 points: Day one 84. Day two 88. Decant! (2798 views)
Tasted by Crystal on 4/20/2013 & rated 90 points: cherries, and some fern. fab. (2974 views)
Tasted by BeyondTheMargin.net on 3/11/2013 & rated 89 points: Vanilla and light oak on the nose. Rather light palate that was absent of tannic structure. Modest fruit showing through on the palate. Didn't stand up to my filet very well. 88-89 (3215 views)
Tasted by dspieker on 3/6/2012 & rated 89 points: Full and smooth with nice dark berry and chocolate flavors. Very pleasant but lacks complexity and lengthy finish. (4552 views)
Tasted by BigSchmove on 11/1/2011 & rated 89 points: This was a very nice bottle. Silky smooth, full body. Very nice fruit. Went well with red meat as well as by it self. Very safe wine to order when out at dinner (4456 views)
Tasted by russdan60 on 6/4/2011 & rated 88 points: I got a lot of bacon and some cherry. Tannic on the aftertaste. (4844 views)
Tasted by viggo21 on 4/30/2011: What a sloppy, oaky mess. Yuck, one taste and a bottle down the drain. Exactly what i hate in Napa Cab. (5356 views)
Tasted by jonradus on 1/16/2011 & rated 81 points: Blackberry, raspberry, cherry and cough syrup spring forth on the nose. The taste is mega red fruits with a cherry cotton candy cough syrup overtone. The finish is a bit hot and super syrupy. This is good, but not that good...definitely not worth the $35 I paid for it, and probably only worth about $20. It's not bad, but also not good. (5302 views)
Tasted by Crystal on 12/9/2010 & rated 90 points: berries , delight! (5043 views)
Tasted by winelover1 on 12/7/2010 & rated 91 points: Delicious. Great finish. Rounded tannins. Nice nose and a velvety mouthfeel. Beautiful black berry flavors and will drink more of this stuff from a fantastic wine maker. (5118 views)
Tasted by jimmyrice14 on 12/2/2010 & rated 92 points: Very solid. Balanced with expressive fruit. (5085 views)
Tasted by ritam on 10/14/2010: Crying as we sip this wine, out last bottle! (5533 views)
Tasted by jdoury on 10/13/2010 & rated 87 points: Very good Cab. Smooth. Got better after the bottle was open for a while (2 days!). $30. (5552 views)
Tasted by moxiemoxiemoxie on 9/17/2010 & rated 90 points: Graph has depth. Whoa that's deep. (5598 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 7/29/2010: Dark Rutherfordness. Good at $35 (5876 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 7/8/2010: The more I have been drinking this, the more I have liked it. Especially at its price. (5989 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 7/7/2010: Mostly rutherford, and I would guess shows it. Or I do believe it shows it. (5982 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
