Community Tasting Notes (average 87.3 pts. and median of 87 pts. in 10 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by JasonPineda on 6/19/2013 & rated 87 points: Perhaps just past it's peak, but still a decent Napa Cab. Good fruit still on the nose and palate, medium finish. Decent QPR (973 views)
Tasted by Anonymous on 9/24/2010: Opened both 06 at same time and decanted (2165 views)
Tasted by oppsie on 1/28/2010 & rated 87 points: Needs at least a few hours or even a day to open up. Food wine, consume with red meat. (2526 views)
Tasted by jonysan on 11/3/2009 & rated 89 points: Nice, inexpensive Napa Cab. Medium tannins. Balanced fruit (black berry) flavors. Pleasant drinking. (2049 views)
Tasted by damntall on 9/13/2009 & rated 87 points: Hmm... this seemed a little tight, and never fully gave up the acid-forward tartness. As a Napa cab, the weak tannins in it made me wonder about its cellarability as well. Not really sure I'd buy this one again. I've had it bopping around the cellar for about a year now, and finally got around to drinking it. Low commitment, average quality. I prefer a better wine for everyday drinking. (2784 views)
Tasted by JayD on 8/23/2009 & rated 85 points: Disappointing. (2191 views)
Tasted by ArizonaWineGuy on 8/6/2009 & rated 87 points: Very serviceable cab, especially for the price. Not particularly deep color, nothing much really happening on the nose, but in the mouth there is decent fruit, soft, integrated tannins, and a reasonable finish. I don't think this is going to become anything more as time goes on, so drink up. (1818 views)
Tasted by rykaydad on 6/28/2009: Enjoyed with Porterhouse Steaks topped with melted Bleu Cheese crumbles on our 23rd Anniversary. (1973 views)
Tasted by spretzer on 2/18/2009 & rated 88 points: ok but a bit off , would not buy again (1971 views)
Tasted by soyhead on 10/13/2008 & rated 88 points: tasted blind. no notes taken but somehow a score was rendered (!). I think i must have liked it. I guessed it to be a syrah. the more I write, the less credibility I have, but who cares,, anyway... (2033 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.

2013 Vintage Notes:
"Napa Valley and virtually all of the North Coast of California (which obviously includes Sonoma and Mendocino Counties as well) has been on a qualitative tear since 2012. 2012 was a great vintage for nearly every varietal in North Coast California, but what is even more remarkable is that 2013 may turn out to be the finest vintage I have experienced in tasting North Coast varietals over the last 37 years. It's a game-changer in terms of the consistency of quality, the depth of quality, and the across-the-board excellence for so many wines." - Robert Parker
