Tasted by dangdad on 10/20/2010 & rated 82 points: Classic Marborough Sauv Blanc. Hint of grapefruit and grass. A little lite on the finish. (5821 views)
Tasted by MCrawford on 7/21/2010 & rated 87 points: Great pool side wine when its 90+ degrees outside? Easy drinking. Grassy, citrus, hints of wet stone and mineral. (6241 views)
Tasted by MCrawford on 5/17/2010 & rated 87 points: Typical grassiness, with hints of oily minerals. Pale yellow coloring, pears and lemon on the nose. Can't argue with the price point though. A good summer white. (6745 views)
Tasted by CdP in NYC on 5/4/2010 & rated 88 points: Consumer over three days (best on day three). Initially tight: thin and light with tart apple, pear and light lemon-lime citrus; basic and boring. Over three days it perked up, becoming quite dense and full. Some sweetness found its way into the mouth along with classic Marlborough grassiness, but what struck me was the petrol flavors and aromas the eventually came forth. Very unusual and welcoming for an entry-level SB like this. I would definitely repurchase.

Drink now. 88 -JRS (6690 views)
Tasted by joshwoodward on 3/25/2010 & rated 88 points: Cork's: Blind Tasting: Definite Sauvignon blanc. Grass bomb, with loads of lemons and lime. That's kind of all that's going on, but it pulls it off well. Classic, simple, tasty. (7231 views)
Tasted by wineywhites on 3/22/2010 & rated 85 points: Great nose of lemon peel and grapefruit. While the flavor profile is very typical Malrborough Sav Blanc, the fruit tasted a bit watered down, not concentrated and racy. Decent effort, but not fabulous (4548 views)
Tasted by 1512tnw on 1/28/2010: Used for cooking (4924 views)
Tasted by anubis on 1/22/2010 & rated 84 points: Still very nice easy drinking SB. Typically straw colour and very long in the mouth. [screwcap, 13.0% alc] (5423 views)
Tasted by brianb8851 on 12/19/2009 & rated 84 points: Pretty good NZ sauv blanc. Nice nose that has a touch more richness than I would have expected. Citrus, bit of grass. (5156 views)
Tasted by Crayon0 on 12/9/2009 & rated 88 points: Very good. Grapefruit and grass. Crisp and fantastic with goat cheese. (5126 views)
Tasted by Alex H on 10/20/2009 & rated 82 points: ICCCW wine class (Jade Palace Forum): Morning grass, a bunch of smoky hay , savorty sweet kumquats and gooseberries. Nice, fresh and atypical. (6127 views)
Tasted by winetennis on 9/5/2009 & rated 89 points: For 17th anniversary; served at Thursday's Marina at West River, MD; crisp, lemon, tart, good with crabs. (5734 views)
Tasted by ChefR0b on 8/24/2009 & rated 86 points: I had the bottle with the white label in the second picture; I don't know if there is any difference between that and the green bottle. The aroma was tropical and filled with grapefruit and lemon-lime. The flavor was crisp with a focus on the tanginess of grapefruit juice and sweet-bitterness of grapefruit zest. Some citrus, grass and white peach also followed through on the palate with a slight mineral finish. Not too complex but with a cost of only $10, a great QPR. An enjoyable yet simple wine everyone will enjoy for a night out to dinner. Buy two, it's cheap. (5808 views)
Tasted by D H Grant on 7/8/2009 & rated 87 points: Glistening, light, golden straw. Aromas of fresh cut, wet grass, lime nectar, a touch of refined white pepper (with some earthiness). The palate has an opening note of sweet fruit, then lime citrus keeps that in check with all of the fruit marked by high toned exotic pepper spice and a fresh cut lime core that goes all the way to backbone acidity and a touch of minerality. All in all; nicely integrated flavors even if somewhat one dimensional. Improves moderately after about an hour of air. Very good value. (5609 views)
Tasted by tanninbomb on 5/30/2009 & rated 88 points: Not much on the nose -- some lime and grass. Palate was a little thin -- lime again with some pineapple and just a wisp of grapefruit but never very complex. Dry and a bit mieral, in a good way.
A good sipper, but not the best SB from NZ. (5646 views)
Tasted by theeb on 4/25/2009 & rated 85 points: Dosenpfirsich, würzig, schön frisch. (5561 views)
Tasted by Muscadine on 4/13/2009: Used in fondue. Dry, maybe a hint of tropical, a little peach/pear, simple, easy to drink. (5474 views)
Tasted by Lainie on 3/30/2009 & rated 91 points: Citrus nose, w/ mild grassiness. Lush tropical core, some roundness midpalate. Crisp grapefruit zest on finish, with so2 tingle. Friendly, refreshing.
1st winery in NZ to produce SB? 1973. FWE Imports, Napa, CA. 13%alc. (5717 views)
Tasted by drdebs on 3/17/2009 & rated 87 points: Lime, lime and more lime in this one at present. Tangy, straightforward lime zest in the aromas, and lime juice in the palate. Will try again tomorrow to see if more tropical fruit can be coaxed forward. As it is, tangy and refreshing--a perfect summer sipper. Day 2: Additional notes are herbaceous. Nice freshness, but will keep evaluation as it stands. Very refreshing. (5268 views)
