Deep, brilliant ruby with aromas of cherries, red currants, chocolate, eucalyptus, and touches of smoke and thyme. Opens up to savory notes on a woody palate that is all about structure and balance, gaining fruit and mineral intensity as it sits in the glass. Fine-grained tannins lead to a persistent, crushed rock finish. This really has a sense of place. Best decanted. (1525 views)

Everything is subtle about this wine; fruit, tannins, whatever else I'm tasting but can't discribe. The nose is a highlight; here I do pick-up some cherry. This is not a heavy, big boy Napa Cab, but rather a softer, quieter, still well produced, cabernet from Napa that I certainly recommend as a value buy. (1367 views)

 Tasted by PDX-S on 11/11/2013: Inky and dark in the glass, nose of tobacco, leather, oak, and subdued fruit and spice. Tight upon initial opening, the tannins close the palate down, but after 20 minutes the whole affair is remarkably open, the blueberry and blackberry step up, the acid finds its place, and the tannin resolves nicely into a support role. Very well integrated through the evening, presenting nicely at this juncture with primary and secondary flavors front and center. (1964 views)
 Tasted by JDV.DDSPHD on 10/21/2013 & rated 87 points: More red/garnet in color. Really nice nose. Some floral aspects on the nose intermixed with red fruit. More raspberry & bing cherry with just a touch of earth. Very linear lacking complexity & depth. The tannins are manageable and I didn't even decant this. The finish was decent lasting 20seconds at the most. Lots of acidity too just making my mouth water. This is really missing those "extras" that make a wine amazing. There is fruit and then it drops off mid palate. The tannins are there but they are not the massive dense tannins that would allow this to be cellared for a decade. Instead I would drink this now or over the next few years. But I would not go over 5. This is a nice price point for an everyday drinker but vin 29s cru blows this away for the money. (1939 views)
