Tasted by dmellinger on 5/25/2015 & rated 95 points: This was so smooth and perfect (568 views)
Tasted by Bloms on 5/20/2015 & rated 89 points: Drinking surprisingly well. Drank over 3 days, consistent throughout. (588 views)
Tasted by FandL on 3/23/2015 & rated 89 points: Nicely paired with a BBQ/smoked boneless beef ribs cooked in a big green egg. (943 views)
Tasted by AWBryce on 2/8/2015 & rated 92 points: I like Heitz's style. Lovely perfumed nose of liquorice, sweet oak, menthol, and nuts. Sweet tannin, medium acidity, long finish. Excellent. (1202 views)
Tasted by stickmanparty on 12/6/2014 & rated 88 points: Boring. (1739 views)
Tasted by Ericsson on 11/15/2014 & rated 88 points: Couleur grenat foncé. Nez sur les fruits noirs, le cassis. En bouche, il y a de la matière et de l'alcool aussi.
La finale est moins réussie avec passablement d'astringence. (1572 views)
Tasted by Vanilla on 10/18/2014: Solid Cali Cab. Very fresh, not to dense, long, and well balanced. Could go a long way in the cellar, but I was tempted to drink my only bottle last night.

Went well with grilled beef ''bavette'' aspargus and duck fat roasted patatoes.

Santé! (1786 views)
Tasted by bobvictor on 9/16/2014 & rated 90 points: Solid California Cabernet. Balanced, reserved dark red fruit. Good qpr (1804 views)
Tasted by mdp.blue on 8/10/2014 & rated 88 points: Good at the opening, one hour in and faded thereafter. 2006, 2007, 2008 Heitz Cabs have been consistently good so maybe it was my storage that threw this btl off a bit? (1808 views)
Tasted by WinthropT96 on 8/2/2014 & rated 89 points: Very enjoyable Cab for a group event; a little fruit forward but still with some complexity and the body of a higher quality CA cab (1440 views)
Tasted by geeky? not sure on 7/10/2014: Much oakier than I remember. Good bbq wine, but expected more subtlety on this one. (1549 views)
Tasted by Charogers on 6/30/2014 & rated 90 points: Good solid Cali cab. Perhaps slightly lacking in any distinctive character but a nice drink which goes well with food. Drinking fine now. (1425 views)
Tasted by Dexter Morgan on 5/2/2014 & rated 91 points: A lovely expression of Cabernet. Deep, brilliant ruby with aromas of cherries, red currants, chocolate, eucalyptus, and touches of smoke and thyme. Opens up to savory notes on a woody palate that is all about structure and balance, gaining fruit and mineral intensity as it sits in the glass. Fine-grained tannins lead to a persistent, crushed rock finish. This really has a sense of place. Best decanted. (1525 views)
Tasted by brianspross on 3/28/2014 & rated 91 points: Very good bottle. No idea what I paid for it. This is not one of the best years though. (1551 views)
Tasted by corkscrews on 3/16/2014 & rated 90 points: A nose of bold dark fruits and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied single vineyard Cab with blackberry, cassis, some leather, with a long spiced finish. Best to decant for a couple hrs. www.winelx.com (1532 views)
Tasted by mdp.blue on 3/8/2014 & rated 89 points: Very good value; price for quality of wine. Heitz Cabs have been one of my "go to" wines of late. Everything is subtle about this wine; fruit, tannins, whatever else I'm tasting but can't discribe. The nose is a highlight; here I do pick-up some cherry. This is not a heavy, big boy Napa Cab, but rather a softer, quieter, still well produced, cabernet from Napa that I certainly recommend as a value buy. (1367 views)
Tasted by Mad Dog Mikey on 1/9/2014 & rated 92 points: Very nice cabernet, perhaps a bit too much on the fruity side. Undeniebly rich, smooth, round and inviting. Embarrissingly enjoyable! (1997 views)
Tasted by Trolson on 1/4/2014 & rated 93 points: Very soft and mellow. Quality. Well worth the price. And, decanted for four hours. (1602 views)
Tasted by maxima on 12/18/2013 & rated 87 points: Boisé un peu trop appuyer, l'extraction se fait sentir...vanille en bouche et impression de sucre en finale.
Un peu surfait en ce moment! (1795 views)
Tasted by Fire Bill on 12/12/2013 & rated 92 points: Wonderful wine... Great value at $30 price point. Still have many goods years left. (1709 views)
Tasted by PDX-S on 11/11/2013: Inky and dark in the glass, nose of tobacco, leather, oak, and subdued fruit and spice. Tight upon initial opening, the tannins close the palate down, but after 20 minutes the whole affair is remarkably open, the blueberry and blackberry step up, the acid finds its place, and the tannin resolves nicely into a support role. Very well integrated through the evening, presenting nicely at this juncture with primary and secondary flavors front and center. (1964 views)
Tasted by JDV.DDSPHD on 10/21/2013 & rated 87 points: More red/garnet in color. Really nice nose. Some floral aspects on the nose intermixed with red fruit. More raspberry & bing cherry with just a touch of earth. Very linear lacking complexity & depth. The tannins are manageable and I didn't even decant this. The finish was decent lasting 20seconds at the most. Lots of acidity too just making my mouth water. This is really missing those "extras" that make a wine amazing. There is fruit and then it drops off mid palate. The tannins are there but they are not the massive dense tannins that would allow this to be cellared for a decade. Instead I would drink this now or over the next few years. But I would not go over 5. This is a nice price point for an everyday drinker but vin 29s cru blows this away for the money. (1939 views)
Tasted by Alexepop on 9/1/2013 & rated 90 points: - Purple color and aromas of bell pepper, tobacco and cedar - Herbaceous on the nose, not catching the fruit at first whiff.
Smooth but just a little hot in the after taste.
Enjoyable and interesting but not special. (2338 views)
Tasted by qtsam11 on 8/9/2013 & rated 89 points: This was a little fruitier than other Heitz I've had. I let it decant for about two hours but it wasn't as full bodied as I anticipated. (2439 views)
Tasted by MemorialWineFan on 6/24/2013 & rated 89 points: Three hour decant. Good bottle overall. (3097 views)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
