Community Tasting Notes (average 90.5 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 2 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by Nanda on 9/30/2008 & rated 91 points: Ummm...this has really come in to its own. One helluva a $14 wine. Full aromas of bright, sweet red fruit, herbs, toasty oak and smoke on the nose. Palate has smooth and modestly rich, sappy red and black fruits. A nice herbal and licorice kick on the mid-palate. Juicy acidity and fine, suave tannin. Good length of moderately intense, candied fruit, toast and smoke. Very tasty and totally gulpable. A pleasure to drink. (849 views)
Tasted by roostir on 12/19/2005 & rated 90 points: I really like this wine. Good fruit, dark color, smokey smooth. (1274 views)

California

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
