Tasted by GuWin on 11/25/2017 & rated 90 points: Dyp mørk, liten antydning til aldring. (1397 views)
Tasted by pbmedder on 8/31/2016 & rated 93 points: Still full of colour, dark ruby. Heady nose of ripe black cherry, cloves, with well integrated toasty oak. Powerful palate, black cherry, fine, grippy, dusty tannins, kept in balance by fresh acidity. After 10 years, this is still an incredibly young wine with lots to give. Delicious now, but I suspect even better in 5 years time once it mellows a little. (1678 views)
Tasted by Rezy13 on 10/18/2013 & rated 92 points: Sloppy Seconds Mondo Tasting (Bin 75): Wow, a throw away bottle at the end of the evening turned out to be one of the most impressive Chiantis I've ever had; rich and structured with edges rounded enough to let this drink really well, holding up well and lots of life left, better than most Brunellos out there, very classic Sangiovese.  Tasted by Faryan on 12/21/2009: 2006 Chianti Tastings Blind (Bell's Wine Shop, DC): Again a touch muted upon opening with some piercing acidity on the palate but with time it begins to show some earthy truffled elements with ruby red cherry. A nice food wine (3851 views)
Tasted by tooch on 12/17/2009 & rated 86 points: 2006 Chianti Tasting (Bell's): Creme caramel, toffee, light chocolate and saddle leather are the main components of the nose. Relatively simple wine, with almost a fruit cake type of taste. (2941 views)

Sangiovese Blend

Sangiovese blend is used in CellarTracker for Italian wines to represent wines predominantly made of Sangiovese and blended with traditional Italian grapes. It is different than SuperTuscan which is a blend of Sangiovese with non-traditional (eg Bordeaux) varieties, often in closer to equal portions. For example, Chianti is at least 80% Sangiovese and will always be listed Sangiovese blend.
