Clearly worth cellaring this bottling for a few years after release, and it continues to be an excellent value in chianti. (1800 views)

 Tasted by Kentw on 11/23/2014 & rated 90 points: What a nice surprise. Smooth and mellow from some aging yet full bodied with dark fruits and soft tannins. Very nice mouth feel as well. Not much acidity or spice or complexity, and a dry mid-palate that can take a bit off the profile for some. Yet, it is very pleasant and excellent with food. Glad I have more. (2230 views)
 Tasted by Champagneinhand on 10/14/2014 & rated 85 points: Not very enjoyable tonight as this CCR has shut down hard. strong tannin and acid are the key points, but acids are there, along with leather and wood in the background, soil, mushroom italian spices and lastly dried fruit.

So needing to have another 2 years before I open the last bottle. I have save the last half of tonights bottle, but switched to a dark beer for pizza as it was not in drinking mode. Just shut down. (2612 views)

 Tasted by up4wine on 8/31/2014 & rated 88 points: I had an opportunity to compare the 2010 to this 2007 separated by a few nights. I conclude that the 2007 is a richer, deeper wine. The 2010 seemed relatively thin. Both wine are a good value. (2273 views)

Not very complex but very enjoyable... Develops nicely in the glas over 3 hours, so no hurry to drink. From now (perhaps with decanting) and over at least 5-6 more years. (2623 views)

First taste was somewhat bland but the tannins started to come through by the end of the first glass. This wine at this stage is a nice balance of smooth fruit and enough tannin to remind you it's a Chianti. #31 on Wine Spectator's Top 100...who am I to say they are wrong? (2423 views)

 Tasted by Champagneinhand on 1/21/2014 & rated 90 points: Enjoyable, once again. A very reliable CCR producer. The red fruits seemed to be a little withdrawn as this may be in a more dormant stage, but plenty of leather, tobacco and cooking spices to go along with the earth as tertiary flavors. Plums were there without any noticeable changes, since I last drank a previous bottle. The acid/tannin balance is excellent. Soft tannins that make drinking the wine very enjoyable with Pizza or red sauce pasta. acidity will easily cut through the normal range of Italian cheeses. Medium finish. I do think that I will probably not open another for a couple years and see what this vintage offers up when the wine comes back into its aged form. (2707 views)
