Tasted by karajm on 5/22/2015 & rated 91 points: In a great place now and beautifully integrated. Much better than the previous bottle 2 years ago. Delicious.Wish I had more. (947 views)
Tasted by SpoochMan on 2/26/2015 & rated 90 points: Last bottle, and this was the best of the 3. This wine has mellowed noticeably since the previous bottle and was drinking rather smoothly. Clearly worth cellaring this bottling for a few years after release, and it continues to be an excellent value in chianti. (1800 views)
Tasted by SMZ on 2/12/2015: I'm not much of a Chianti drinker, so in spite of the fact that I didn't enjoy this wine, I shouldn't score it. (1946 views)
Tasted by joet626 on 1/11/2015 & rated 90 points: Very good match with sauce. Slightly fruity without food. Nice! (2473 views)
Tasted by Ken332 on 12/2/2014 & rated 90 points: Notes consistent with previous tastings of this wine (2). Spices and minerals in the nose and mid-range, good length. Moderate tannins emerging from behind the fruit on the second day, but still an excellent Chianti. (2889 views)
Tasted by ChipGreen on 11/30/2014 & rated 90 points: This wine is in its sweet spot right now. Fruit forward w/plum, blackberry and dark cherry flavors.
Perfectly integrated oak and medium tannins on the medium+ finish. Paired wonderfully with risotto cakes and sausage cannelloni. (2698 views)
Tasted by RussK on 11/23/2014 & rated 89 points: Russk. WSW here. Itaty v Spain (2081 views)
Tasted by Kentw on 11/23/2014 & rated 90 points: What a nice surprise. Smooth and mellow from some aging yet full bodied with dark fruits and soft tannins. Very nice mouth feel as well. Not much acidity or spice or complexity, and a dry mid-palate that can take a bit off the profile for some. Yet, it is very pleasant and excellent with food. Glad I have more. (2230 views)
Tasted by Champagneinhand on 10/14/2014 & rated 85 points: Not very enjoyable tonight as this CCR has shut down hard. strong tannin and acid are the key points, but acids are there, along with leather and wood in the background, soil, mushroom italian spices and lastly dried fruit.

So needing to have another 2 years before I open the last bottle. I have save the last half of tonights bottle, but switched to a dark beer for pizza as it was not in drinking mode. Just shut down. (2612 views)
Tasted by no leashes on 10/2/2014 & rated 90 points: Perfect compliment to a red sauce on a Wednesday night. (2011 views)
Tasted by SpoochMan on 9/5/2014 & rated 91 points: Much smoother than the last bottle. This was well balanced and drinking pretty smoothy. Went really well with Italian food. Overall, an excellent CCR for $18. Hope the 09s I have are as good. (2214 views)

Tasted by up4wine on 8/31/2014 & rated 88 points: I had an opportunity to compare the 2010 to this 2007 separated by a few nights. I conclude that the 2007 is a richer, deeper wine. The 2010 seemed relatively thin. Both wine are a good value. (2273 views)
Tasted by thegracchi on 8/5/2014 & rated 88 points: Not bad. Needs food. (2304 views)
Tasted by Rollerball on 6/10/2014 & rated 92 points: Starts with dull age but sheds its repressed skin dramatically and continues to accelerate over 90 minutes. Becomes punchy, rounded, fascinating, and delicious. Must have had 18 of these over 5+ years and it's pretty damn good. (2782 views)
Tasted by gew71walsh on 4/27/2014 & rated 88 points: Consistent with prior notes (8/19/13). (2590 views)
Tasted by andrewdodd86 on 4/19/2014 & rated 87 points: Good QPR, straightforward red (2650 views)
Tasted by Tomasio-1 on 4/9/2014 & rated 89 points: Pnp. Still youthfull classic Chianti with dark red fruits, nice acidity and a tannic backbone, everything wellbalanced, good structure. Not very complex but very enjoyable... Develops nicely in the glas over 3 hours, so no hurry to drink. From now (perhaps with decanting) and over at least 5-6 more years. (2623 views)
Tasted by sleepyhaus on 3/27/2014: Sadly my last bottle. Still has the tannin to go some distance. Drinking well but probably better in a year. (2670 views)
Tasted by Mike410 on 3/15/2014 & rated 91 points: This wine over time is becoming bigger and bolder. Everything is coming together very nicely since my last review. I am sure this still has plenty of developing to do. I will try it again in another couple of years. (2416 views)
Tasted by Tom Warden on 3/3/2014 & rated 91 points: Did not decant but poured through an aerator into my glass. First taste was somewhat bland but the tannins started to come through by the end of the first glass. This wine at this stage is a nice balance of smooth fruit and enough tannin to remind you it's a Chianti. #31 on Wine Spectator's Top 100...who am I to say they are wrong? (2423 views)
Tasted by denisontb on 2/28/2014 & rated 89 points: Tight, dry at opening. Needed about 1 hour decant to get friendly. Better with food than by itself. (2175 views)
Tasted by winemaker on 2/20/2014 & rated 90 points: First wine opened from my cellar after moving. Doesn't seem to be any worse for wear. Drinking well. (2388 views)
Tasted by Champagneinhand on 1/21/2014 & rated 90 points: Enjoyable, once again. A very reliable CCR producer. The red fruits seemed to be a little withdrawn as this may be in a more dormant stage, but plenty of leather, tobacco and cooking spices to go along with the earth as tertiary flavors. Plums were there without any noticeable changes, since I last drank a previous bottle. The acid/tannin balance is excellent. Soft tannins that make drinking the wine very enjoyable with Pizza or red sauce pasta. acidity will easily cut through the normal range of Italian cheeses. Medium finish. I do think that I will probably not open another for a couple years and see what this vintage offers up when the wine comes back into its aged form. (2707 views)
Tasted by Mike410 on 11/25/2013 & rated 91 points: 15 months since my last tasting. This wine is developing very nicely. the tannins have pulled back a bit allowing the blackberry and plum fruit to come out more. Not as spicy as the last bottle. (2734 views)
