Tasted by AHolland on 7/30/2018: Yum. (882 views)
Tasted by diggydan on 12/7/2013 & rated 90 points: A good warming wine, generous mouthfeel, and medium-weight palate. The nose and palate are cedary and herbal and paired well with pasta and meatballs. (2443 views)
Tasted by dzal808@gmail.com on 10/25/2013 & rated 88 points: This is a marvelous bottle and cheap as well. First night there was predominately a slightly astringent mineral/graphite quality coming through that I found interesting, pleasant and provided a long finish. No fruitiness was detected. After 24 hrs in a split bottle it had changed considerably. It reminded strongly of shiraz. I do not care for shiraz at all and it was a bit off putting at first, but smoothed out a bit and I did enjoy it. A very interesting wine. I would recommend not keeping it overnight unless you are a shiraz fan. (2474 views)
Tasted by HarveyLarvae on 8/7/2013 & rated 91 points: Very nice, light, a little spice on the palate. Delicate nose and some anise aromas. Easy to drink but good structure as well. Ready to drink now. (2536 views)
Tasted by olracx62 on 2/7/2012 & rated 88 points: A fantastic PQR at this price point (7 eur). Gives an impression of woodiness. This Carignano del Sulcis is earthy, leathery, with additional hints of dark fruit and wet forest on the palate. very enjoyable now, but sure has still some time of cellaring ahead. Dark red in color with tinges of brown and completely opaque. The nose is very aromatic, full of woody scents. On the palate, dark jammy fruit and baking spices with a final tastes of dark chocolate and burnt coffee. Absolutely worth a try (3529 views)
Tasted by ilovefrance on 1/22/2012 & rated 89 points: Fantastic, No fruit, but more earthy notes, spice (clove?). Perfect to drink. Don't think it would gain anything from more aging. (2993 views)
Tasted by graphite on 1/21/2012 & rated 86 points: Distinct pine and paint thinner notes on the nose of this medium bodied wine. Gives an impression of woodiness, not so much oak as retsina. Not unpleasant, but a bit outside the norm. (1940 views)
Tasted by InVinoMomentum on 12/10/2011 & rated 89 points: 89 points - based on CellarTracker quality, however, with its ?8 price tg, this one's a stunner. The Carignano del Sulcis grape variety is one of my favs - earthy, leathery, bit of animalic smell to it, with additional hints of dark fruit and wet forest on the palate. A steal at this price point - very enjoyable now, but easily has two more years of cellaring in it. (2400 views)
Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 12/3/2011 & rated 90 points: Third Annual Donato Enoteca 100 Italian Wine Event (Donato Enoteca, Redwood City, California): Medium dark cherry red color; floral, roses, lifted red fruit nose; tight, juicy, tart black cherry, roses palate; medium-plus finish (2343 views)
Tasted by Gooka on 7/11/2011 & rated 86 points: Santadi seems to be a solid producer for enjoyable reds with tempting pricing policy. This Carignano is a good example of very basic level wine which can bring nice dark ruby colour to your wine glass. The colour is slightly brown indeed.

I found the nose quite attractive with blueberry, blackberry, spices and woody elements. The taste is pretty long, fruity and coffee in the end. Well, again I am very pleased with the wine I paid only for 6€ per bottle. (1839 views)
Tasted by BoboJangles on 7/2/2011 & rated 85 points: Similar to previous with the characteristic baking spice and cedar. More acidity on the palate this time. (1663 views)
Tasted by df1962 on 6/21/2011 & rated 87 points: Nice everyday italian. did not take formal notes but would buy again. (1602 views)
Tasted by BoboJangles on 5/1/2011 & rated 87 points: Somewhat more tight of a bottle than the previous one, possibly because it was served at 55 deg. F (about 5 degrees cooler than before) which focuses the nose on this substantially. I found that as I continued to let the wine aerate, the bouquet changed from subtle cinnamon to more coniferous flavors like juniper, before returning to its original aroma pattern. On the palate, fruit was scantly present, and the taste was dry, mostly baking spice. Acidity was slightly higher on this bottle too. Still, a nice bottle considering it didn't have a food accompaniment, which I think compliments it and draws out more focused flavors. (1703 views)
Tasted by BoboJangles on 4/4/2011 & rated 91 points: A fantastic value wine to be drunk with or without food. It would be great with a moderately hard cheese such as robusto. The wine is dark red in color with tinges of brown and is completely opaque. The nose is very aromatic, full of woody scents including cedar, maple, and perhaps mushrooms. On the palate, I notice three distinct phases to this wine. The first is one consisting of dark jammy fruit and baking spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon. Second comes the very round, full, yet delicate tannins that coat the mouth. Once these dissipate, the wine ends with subtle bitter tastes of dark chocolate or perhaps burnt coffee. Lovely 20-30 second finish. (1716 views)
Tasted by bin905 on 2/13/2011 & rated 89 points: Ruby red color. Medium body, tobacco, leather, charcoal, and dark fruit flavors with ample tannins. Somewhat thin on fruit, especially mid-palate, but a distinctive flavor profile. (1675 views)
