  • 2005 Rippon Riesling 92 Points

Pleasant aromatic nose, flowery and mineral notes, reasonable complexity.
Fruity, lemon and lime with some minerality, refreshing; will improve over the next 2 - 4 years.

  • 2006 Felton Road Chardonnay Central Otago 86 Points

New Zealand, South Island, Otago, Central Otago

A mixed nose, oak on fruit, then tinned sweetcorn and finally Birds custard.
Greengages and custard, there's plentyof fruit and length suggesting this would improve over the next 4 - 6 years.

  • 2005 Quartz Reef Pinot Noir 92 Points

New Zealand, South Island, Otago, Central Otago

Lovely nose, great development, cabbages, meat and lovely fruit.
Lots of baked fruit, spicy, smooth, the alcohol's a bit too evident, drinking well now but will keep up to 4 years.
