Pierre Casenave, winemaker at Veuve Clicquot, was on hand at the Naperville Binny's to pour a few bottles. Pierre is young and very enthusiastic, and he was gracious with his time.

55% Pinot Noir. Straw color with notes of apple and citrus. Good texture with a medium bead and good acidity. Flavors of toast, apple and caramel. Ends nicely and seems a bit more focused than the last few times I've had this. 89-90 pts.

Pale pinkish/copper color. Red berry and floral tones on the nose follow through on the palate, picking up a nutty quality on the finish. Medium texture...crisp.
