Introduction

The DAWGS got together over Memorial Day weekend for our May wine dinner. Theme for this tasting was "Spanish Wines". Here are the results:

    Light salmon color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose started with a hint of diesel followed by notes of raspberries and camphor. Flavors of raspberries, berries and minerals. Medium acidity, medium body. Drink or hold.

    Yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of camphor, a hint of ash, florals, spice, yellow pears and wet stones. Flavors of yellow pears, waxy apples and minerals. Medium acidity, medium body. Drink or hold.

    Light yellow color in the glass, fairly clear looking. Nose of lemon zest, spice, sea breeze and a hint of waxy pears. Flavors of lemon, dried pineapple and tangy yellow apples. Bright acidity, medium body. Drink over the short term.

Medium acidity, medium tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink with a little air up front through the next 5 plus years.
