Lush, soft, rich, smooth, silky, velvet. No angles to it, this is pillow soft. Some dark coffee notes. Very easy to drink. Drinking very well right now. Lovely. My #2 WOTN.

Solid with soft lush fruit and some grip. Lacks a little concentration but has very nice full fruit with a sweet core. Drinking well.

  • 1996 Château Cos d'Estournel

Wonderfully put together. Great strong fruit that is also round and has a soft friendly side. Great integration. Good balance with sweet fruit, dark notes and tannins. My WOTN.

  • 2000 Château Cos d'Estournel

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Estèphe

Strong, muscular, somewhat closed and a little hard. Long fine tannic finish with a hint of blueberry. Young, this is a hold. Score withheld. This could go somewhere.

  • 2003 Château Cos d'Estournel

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Estèphe

Sweet, modern and hot with notes of blueberry. Long fine tannins. Rich, big and sweet. Hold and hope it develops, but this is too modern for me. Could be in an awkward phase.
